Love my braids! I’m tender headed so I made sure to let the owner know. She did such a good job that I got compliments all week about my hair and it didn’t hurt at all. Definitely recommend!

The ladies were very professional and nice and even waited for me we started at 7:00 pm and were finished by 12:00am i got Knotless box braids below bra strap length I love my braids and I enjoyed my experience

I’m a regular here and they are AMAZING. The only place in Waco I go to get my hair done . The service is always top tier . If you’re not satisfied, you won’t leave until you are . Miss Kodou and her team make sure you leave feeling beautiful. Side note: Get the $80 pack of curly hair if you want the look I got.

I called the shop to ask for braids over locs. They even sent me photos of which hair to get (I didn't want the hair provided by them because I wanted a specific color) so when I walked in, I was immediately greeted and sat. Two ladies did my Senegalese twist over my locs, it didn't hurt one bit and I'm definitely one to complain. I expected to be there for 6+ hrs but was out in 3. Thanks a ton for making me 😊

Every time I go here the environment is pleasant and my experience is amazing! I love to hear the laughter, definitely a family atmosphere. I enjoy looking around at all the amazing and beautiful crafted styles! There is definitely some talent in this place, I'm never disappointed. Mrs. Kodou got me right on my visit, as always; she knows how to style my hair with those troublesome areas, making me feel comfortable and confident! If you haven't been there yet, I encourage you to go and get the experience for yourself; you'll be happy that you did! Thank you Mrs. Kodou, I love, love, love, my hair!!!

I don’t typically write reviews, but I thought I’d write about my experience here. I would not recommend. My biggest issue is that they don’t allow appointments and have a first come first serve model. Every other salon/stylist I’ve ever been to allows appointments, especially knowing people have busy schedules. I understand the concern about people booking and not showing up, but there could be a simple fix to this, such as charging a cancellation fee or requiring a deposit to book an appointment. Additionally, I had my mother share with them a picture of my hair length prior to choosing to come here to ensure they could style the way I wanted. They gave one recommendation to her just for me to show up and say they could not do what they had recommended. I would have never come here if I knew this in advance and would have gone to my regular hair braider who allows for appointments, provides timely service and is much more friendly. This was not a good experience for me. I chose to leave without being serviced after waiting for 6 hours.

Kudou African hair braiding is guaranteed to turn heads. I always receive the most professional service from Kudou and her staff. This is my fourth appointment and I have been braided by them all, even some at the same time. Regardless of how many braiders at one time, who begins or who finishes; each time my braids have been extremely NEAT, FULL and all identical and done in a timely fashion (which I appreciate, I hate to SIT). Nevertheless even months later my braids remain intact, looking amazing and continue to receive soo many compliments. I DO NOT mind paying for their time and their TRADE!! Definitely worth the pain and money. These ladies are blessed with gifted hands and remember beauty can sometimes be painful.
