Priscilla was recommended to me by a fellow brunette friend a few years ago after one of my balayages went extremely south from a stylist not listening to my wishes of wanting to remain in the brunette color family. After my first visit with her, Priscilla completely fixed my hair and made it better than I could have ever imagined! She instantly converted me to a regular client and I have been seeing her regularly ever since. I worked with her for several months to perfect the coloring for my wedding last February and she killed it! She has the perfect technique when it comes to blending brunette balayages where it looks so natural and grows out beautifully. At our last session, I decided to do something I have never done and dip my toe in the auburn/copper world. I showed her pictures of what I was thinking, but I also trusted Priscilla completely and knew that she would take a vision and do what would look best. My favorite thing about her is that she is a perfectionist and when the red came out a little too light for her liking, she immediately put me back in the bowl to tone in a little darker. The end result was stunning and such a fun change from what I normally get. If you want someone that is going to take the time to listen to you and make sure your leave with hair that you love, then Priscilla is your girl! I recommend her to all my friends and family, especially the brunettes who have struggled to find someone who doesn't specialize in blondes and try and turn every brunette blonde. Priscilla is a master with all natural colors, but I think her talent truly shines when working with darker colors where her blends are seamless. I love love love Priscilla and cant express enough how wonderful she did on my hair! Never thought my hair could look like this. I love Priscilla, I’ve known her since my high school year. I know it may be biased because I know her, but she’s the only person I let touch my hair since I had a terrible run in with someone else before. She cares for her clients and is very personable. I have thick, long, and fluffy hair that I have been too nervous to shape for the past ten years. After a lot of research, I booked a consultation and cut with Priscilla. She is an amazing artist, but beyond that, she is an incredibly patient and graceful person. I had many, many questions about the type of cut that would suit my face and hair type, about the proper type of products to use, even how to dry my hair properly! I have always loved my hair and have been extremely precious about it, but I now feel like my look is elevated because of how incredibly talented she is. Also, she did not shorten my hair too much (which was incredibly important to me), kept it longer in the back and only took off dead hair. I can rave on. There were multiple things that set her apart as an hair artist: - She uses vegan and cruelty products that she tests for a while before carrying at her salon, -She is incredibly inclusive, and works with all types of hair and other needs (like religious practices). She has a private space and works with people wearing hijabs, niqabs, and so forth. -She is very honest about her boundaries, she will refer you out if you are asking for a service she does not specialize in. -She takes pride in her work and will not provide services that might irreversibly damage your hair. This is NOT a paid comment, I am just insanely happy with my results and think that she is the bees knees. She recently opened her CillaRey salon, but has over a decade of experience (check out Reddit and other comments at her previous salons- I did). You will not regret it, Cilla Rey all the way!
