Gene Juarez Salon & Spa - Tacoma

$120 for this. Didn't line me up, didn't even shave the fuzz off my neck. My stylist was looking at her watch more than my hairline and now I look chopped. Great hair for a wedding. I even brought fancy water as a gift for my stylist and this was what I got in return. Absolutely jaw dropping. (Edit: The manager did reach out to me and offer to remedy it with a free cut by a barber specialist sometime. They do have good customer care, you just need to be very careful about who you have doing your cut. Different stylists seem to specialize in different things).

Heather B. was amazing! She fixed some hair problems that I had. I showed her a picture of a style I wanted and she gave it to me and she also gave me some great guidance on how to take care of my new style. She also washed my hair nicely, not too hard and not too weak. I will definitely be back!

Alyssa was amazing!!Such a great experience! The balayage turned out absolutely beautiful — the color really pops and is perfectly blended. My daughter is so happy with the result and can’t stop getting compliments. Highly recommend!

Kristen Smith created a transformation from waist length hair to a short sleek bob. I love her creative vision. I love the vibe of the salon. Great shampoo experience. The cut and style left me feeling free and looking forward to playing with different styles. Thank you Kristen!

Terra is amazing! She did my hair color perfectly, exactly as I requested. Added plus, she’s very personable and fun. A true asset to the Gene Juarez team. She’s lovely and my new go-to colorist. 😊

I adsolutely love getting my haircut by Jae Pak at Gene Juarez in Tacoma. Jay is so good and kind that I would follow him wherever he goes! The salon is clean, overall atmosphere is relaxing and busy. It can be hard to find parking so allow time for that but this is my favorite salon in the Tacoma area.

The GJ downtown Tacoma salon has a fun vibe and I love my stylist and colorists… Jae, Tija, Terra, and Isaiah ! Jae knows exactly the style he wants to create specific to my hair texture and shape of my face. As far as highlights, you can’t go wrong with Tija, she is amazing. Isaiah and Terra help keep my grays away. Thank you, Gene Juarez!🥂
