I have gone here in the past and had good experiences but this time was horrible. Not only were my highlights done poorly the customer service was terrible. I feel bad leaving negative reviews but I really don’t want this to happen to someone else. See pics. Donna did my hair and did not get my roots (it happens) but when I wanted to go back to get them fixed I had to wait because either the stylist or the manager had to do them and they were not available when I was. The manager Paige was not flexible with her time and Donna was on Vacation. I ended up going on my family vacation with my $175 hair looking outgrown. When I finally went in to get the color fixed Donna told me it was normal regrowth (over 1 week), fortunately Paige disagrees and they colored my roots. I had to pay for another bowl which is understandable but frustrating. Britini another stylist came over and gave her opinion on how to "do the hair quicker and with less foils". It came out just as bad, if not worse because now I had stripes. Please do not get your hair highlighted by these ladies.

My experience at The Arizona Hair Co was fantastic!! My stylist was very welcoming and friendly. I asked for a messy pixie cut, showed her a couple of pictures, and she gave me exactly what I asked for. She did an amazing job!! I’ve just recently moved to the area, and I’ve found my new stylist, for sure!! I’ve already scheduled my next appointment!!

I’m leaving this review with deep disappointment after an experience that left my hair visibly damaged, my time wasted, and my trust in this salon completely broken. Stylist Paige assured me during our June 10 consultation that she could achieve the look I wanted in 2.5–3 hours. Over the course of three appointments totaling nearly 10 hours in just 5 days, I experienced improper coloring technique, overprocessing, and tone issues that she admitted were incorrect, including mixed-up toners, excessive backcombing on my thin hair, a bleach bath, and use of a drying purple shampoo. The result was brassiness, harsh bleach lines, and a "money piece" that was overly light and uneven. I returned for a second appointment where Paige asked me how to fix it, a deflection of responsibility no client should face. Only after I pressed for her professional recommendation did she suggest lowlights and re-toning. The tone slightly improved, but the damage was done. Despite all of this, Paige has since been promoted within the company, while I’ve been left with compromised, fragile, and shedding hair that ultimately needed to be cut short to manage the damage. Even more frustrating: The District Manager agreed that a refund was warranted, but said only the owner, Michelle, could issue it. After days of being ignored, Michelle finally responded, offering a small refund, stating that because I liked my haircut, they didn’t feel obligated to return the full amount. This completely dismisses the fact that my hair so damaged I need it cut again. I will now need to pay someone else to repair what was done. This entire experience happened during a time of personal grief and travel with my son. Instead of support and professionalism, I was met with excuses, avoidance, and a business that prioritizes internal promotions over true customer care. If you value your hair, your time, and your well-being, I strongly advise going elsewhere.

This was my first time getting a haircut and style at AZ hair co. It was a pleasant visit and as a walk in. The lady was great and had a really nice personality. She cut out 1/2 an inch of my already above shoulder length short hair and blowed dry my hair as I requested. My only surprise was the high price charged for the whole thing.

We had a good experience bringing my husband and our two boys in for haircuts. Things that are important to me are knowledge/talent working with different hair types, price, convenience and friendly staff. It was convenient getting all cuts at the same time. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they did a good job with the cuts. One of my boys has super curly hair, the other has thick wavy hair. . My husband was just as happy with his cut. I also really appreciate businesses that recognize the military—offering a veteran discount is always a meaningful gesture. Overall, a great experience from start to finish, and we will be returning customers.

I’ve had my hair done at this salon before, and it was perfect—as you can see in the first photo. Unfortunately, the stylist who originally did my hair no longer works there, so this time I chose Donna (June 2025). I clearly explained that I only wanted my roots touched up—no changes, just the same blonde color brought up. For some reason, this wasn’t understood. Instead, she dyed my entire head, and attempted to bleach my brown hair, but didn’t lift it all the way. The result? Brassy, uneven sections and a complete loss of the tone it had taken my former stylist so long to correct. I didn’t realize how bad it was until the very end, when it became clear this was the final result. She kept repeating that "it takes a blonde to color a blonde correctly," which felt ironic, frustrating, and completely laughable considering the outcome. To make matters worse, another customer was visibly upset with her own results during my appointment (different stylist). That alone made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. BUT WAIT, it gets worse. Toward the end of my appointment, when I was finally able to put my glasses back on, I noticed blood on the stylist’s face, between her upper lip and nose—smeared, but visible. I tried to brush it off, but then I saw blood on her hand as she began cutting my hair, from her thumb to the tip of her pointer finger. It was disgusting. She had stepped outside briefly earlier, and I don’t know if that’s connected, but it was extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. She mentioned it was her first day back after taking time off to care for her sick daughter. I understand that life happens, but professionalism and sanitation should never be compromised, especially in a salon setting. I typically only get my hair done once a year because it’s such a big expense. But this time, I spent $300, and the more I washed it, the more orange it became. Purple shampoo only helped so much. Yesterday, I finally decided to dye it back to my original brown color myself, because I just couldn’t keep walking around with brassy, uneven hair, and I don’t have another $300 to spend fixing it professionally. I haven’t been fully brunette in nearly a decade, so this entire situation has been absolutely devastating. Yes, I cried—a lot. It might sound vain, but it took me a long time, a lot of patience, and money to get my hair to a place I truly loved. To have it undone in a single appointment was heartbreaking. I would’ve posted this sooner, but I moved across the country two days after the appointment and didn’t have the time until now. This experience was disappointing, unsanitary, and far below what I expected, especially from a salon I once trusted.

My grandmother went to AZ Hair Co and was shocked by what she saw. The salon felt tense and uncomfortable employees looked frustrated and mistreated. Paige did a terrible job on a clients hair and honestly doesn't seem to have real management experience or proper training. It's clear the staff gets no kindness or respect from management. Reading past reviews shows this has been happening for a long time, yet nothing changes. That says everything about how little managers and corporate actually care. They're quick to reply to positive posts to protect their image but ignore unhappy customers completely. Stylist of AZ Hair if you are dealing with unfair treatment or discrimination, you should report it to ADOSH and the Department of Labor! No one deserves to work in a toxic environment like this!! To new stylists: stay away. This place is not supportive, not respectful, and those glowing reviews look fake.
