Absolutely amazing experience. Andie is God send... Delanie at the front desk was incredible. I haven't felt like myself in so long. I walked out with tears of joy. Highly recommend.
I've known Hannah for years and she's been doing my lashes for a few months now. She's the best and makes my experience comfortable and calming; which is exactly what you want with a spa service. The salon is clean, vibrant, and has good vibes the second you walk in the door! I'll definitely be a regular client with Hannah 🙂
I had an amazing experience at this beautiful salon! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, and the staff was incredibly friendly. A huge shoutout to Hannah who fixed my lashes—now they look flawless! I've been to multiple lash techs and she is by far the best! I’m so impressed with the attention to detail and care that went into the process. Highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for top-notch beauty services!
I normally don't leave negative reviews, but Everytime I look in the mirror or think about my recent haircut I got at this salon, it bothers me. I've gotten my haircut here before and it was fine. But this last time wasn't a good experience. The girl that cut my hair, should have double checked it thoroughly. My hidden layers are basically non existent. She definitely chopped off more than I wanted, probably because when I was in her chair she originally had my haircut uneven and when I mentioned it she kept having to cut more hair to even it out, And then she blamed the guy that sharpens her scissors; After she felt she fixed the length issue, she hurried to whip off my cape without me even getting to check it again to see if I was satisfied, she wanted me out of there. I remained calm and courteous the whole time. I won't mention the stylist here by name, I'm not trying to throw her under the bus to the public, but whoever is running this salon, please deal with her to check through her cuts properly and not hurry clients off to spare herself confrontation, embarrassment or whatever the reason may be. I would call this salon to have them make my cut right, but frankly, I'd be scared to see what else would happen to my hair if I returned. Gavin SS&S, please, look my name up in your records and deal with the beautician that did my cut. I wasted hard earned money by coming to your salon. UPDATE: Annie, the salon owner contacted me via phone call and invited me to the salon so she could fix my haircut. My experience with her was fantastic and she really changed my mind on coming back to her salon! She was super welcoming and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and I left her chair with a great haircut, one of the best I've had! Thanks Annie, I appreciate you making the extra effort to satisfy your customers. Also, she respectively handled the situation with the stylist who did my original cut, which is good. Annie cares about her stylists and customers, so things aren't one sided!
As a guy, I don't go into salons like this. I go to a barber where there's copies of Golf Digest and car magazines. However, I needed to get a wig done for a theatrical production I'm in and Gavin Scott Salon was recommended to me by a theater friends of mine. All I can say is WOW! Super nice staff, service was impeccable, and the stylist who helped me (Annie) gave me EXACTLY what I needed and treated me like I had been a client of hers for years. If you are looking for a salon where you want your hair treated right by experienced professionals, this is THE place. And if you're someone who has to wear a wig for medical reasons, I would HIGHLY recommend taking it to Annie to get it styled.
2 years later and I’m still living with the damage from this haircut and can not leave the house without heat styling my natural curly hair. Keep your curls away from here. I got my hair done here in August 2023, I’ve debated writing this bad review but realized how much it has affected my self esteem and love for my hair… I wouldn’t wish this experience upon anyone. I went in with long down to my ribs, 3A curly hair, asking for an ashy blonde color. I walked out with inches cut off and a really bad layers where only the most exterior part of my hair is chopped way shorter so I have 2 layers… when my hair is curly out of the shower and air dried it looks like an Afro… The dirty orange color that was left on my hair is another issue but at least I could dye it again and try to recover. This stylist gave me a round Afro-style shape that’s typically used for tighter, 4A curl types — not 3A curls like mine. It didn’t suit my hair type at all, and it destroyed the shape and length I had been growing out for years. To this day, my curls still don’t fall the same. My self-esteem took a major hit, and I’ve had to resort to using heat to try to style the harsh layers to fall naturally. The color was just as disappointing. Instead of the blonde I asked for, she left me with a brassy, dirty orange. I even went back the next day because it just didn’t sit right with me. She tried to tone it again it took hours, and it slightly took the brightness off, however the orange undertone never fully went away. It’s also frustrating that the salon doesn’t list any stylist profiles or specialties on their site. I had no way to vet who would be doing my hair, and that lack of transparency made it easy for someone clearly untrained in my curl type and color goals to do real damage.
Huge kudos to Taylor, this was my 2nd hair cut with her, and I'll tell you she nailed it. I showed her a picture &explained what I wanted, and my hair looks way better than I thought it would. She is such a sweet girl. I can't thank her enough.
