Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Somerville

The lady that did my hair was very kind and nice however the job on my hair was not good at all, I got it done yesterday and it looks bluish green in patches and completely old person grey in others, when I specifically asked for platinum blonde and emphasized not wanting any ashy colors. Additionally multiple people including myself has noticed that my partial foil did not go up to my roots and looks patchy. I would have loved to make this my go to salon but unfortunately that was not the case.

Krista & Valesha are gems. Krista, who does my color, is professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. I’m always happy with the result — she does it quite frankly perfectly every time. Valesha, who washes my hair, is just as wonderful, always making me feel genuinely well cared for. I ended up buying the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner last time (and the recommendation of another lovely employee there) - my hair has never felt as soft and smooth on a routine basis. Excellent service all around. Highly recommend them.

I got a partial foil… Which was kind of a color fix from another salon My appointment was with Kristy from Madison Reed, Somerville She was wonderful. Did a great job on my hair. I am so happy. I will definitely be returning to Somerville location

I cannot speak to the quality of the services they provide, however, I can speak to their customer service. I will start by saying that I was really hoping to like this place, as I wanted to spend less on hair coloring. My appointment was towards the end of their hours. I showed up on time and stood around for awhile before I was greeted. I was told that they were running 20 min behind (understandable) and to have a seat. Within the HOUR I ended up waiting, I was greeted a few times; they called me by the wrong name. I also noticed that the stylists seemed to be rushing. When the time came for the consult, I didn't feel confident in the place and decided to go home. The stylists all seemed very nice, but I will not be returning. I gave it two stars to try and even out the fact that I didn't receive a service.

Love the color bar! This was my second visit. Everyone is always to friendly and helpful. Both visits, the colorist helped me choose what I was looking for and both times the color was perfect. Highly recommend the conditioning treatment! I love drying my own hair, and I bring my own brush to make it easier.

As a first time client getting my hair colored I wasn’t sure I got the right tone. The color was beautiful but it needed toning. Jackie and Ellen treated me like a queen and made sure I got what I wanted. The customer service is fantastic and I really like the product.

Stylist was kind, but talked openly about how she was uncomfortable doing anything but roots. She talked about her lack of confidence to her coworker and that was a bit awkward. My roots were sufficiently dyed, but so was my forehead. I have so much staining it’s almost comical. I also have staining on the shirt I wore on the back collar. Overall I would not recommend MR for a root service of this is the quality.
