Jim is the man. I moved to the area around 2 years ago and have been looking for a barber that will get my cut right the first time. As someone who usually leaves a haircut wondering what just happened to me, this time I left feeling like I got what I paid for. Jim is truly deserving of the title master barber, and has a lot more in his bag than just fades and shaves. Excellent scissor work and attention to detail. I can confidently say I’ve found a shop and barber that will keep me coming back.

Literally the most impatient and unskilled barbers. They don’t understand proportions. Nothing. Totally ruined my whole appearance. Literally the worst haircut I’ve had in my entire life. Will never go there. They don’t even deserve a single star.

I’ve been going to CJ for almost three years now, and I’ve never felt more comfortable with a barber in my life. His consistency, attention to detail, and style are second to none. Every appointment feels less like a haircut and more like catching up with a good friend. Would recommend to anyone.

968 the shop is awesome, Larry and his team give great haircuts and the vibe in the shop is always on point. Been going there for years, always hear some good jokes and can have confidence you're getting a solid cut at a fair price. They can handle anything from a standard haircut to a bald fade and keep the beard/brows looking nice. They also have great hair product if you need it as well.

I've been going to 968 The Shop for about 2.5 years now and have never had a bad experience. First of all, my barber Larry is extremely consistent and he always has good opinions about my hair and what he thinks would work, but is also open to doing whatever I want. In my time going there, I have never received a bad hair cut. Secondly the vibe in the shop is so good. Everyone is friendly and funny. They treat you like you're part of the gang. Proper old school barber vibes. It is my pleasure to support this shop, not only are the people great but it has become a cornerstone of the Somerville community and it's important that we support our local business'! Would 100% recommend.

CJ has been cutting my hair for about a year now and I can confidently say he gives the best cut I've gotten in the Boston area. The level of quality he can produce within a 45 minute window is second to none. Banter is always on point too. Couldn't recommend enough!
