Massage Envy

I recently visited Massage Envy for my first professional massage, and the experience had both positive and negative aspects. From the start, the staff was welcoming, and Megan at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. My therapist was also excellent, providing a great massage that left me feeling relaxed. However, there were significant issues. My appointment was scheduled for 1:30 PM, but my massage didn’t actually start until about 1:35 or 1:40. The main problem occurred at the end of the session. Although I booked an hour and a half, my massage ended promptly at 2:30 PM. I paid for my session at 2:54 PM, which means I was effectively cut short by about 30 minutes. After my massage ended, I took my time getting dressed, and then I was further delayed by the front desk, who persistently tried to sell me various packages. This additional time further cut into the actual massage duration. Moreover, when I declined the package, an older lady at the front desk was quite persistent and made the experience uncomfortable.She stated I only lost five minutes but that’s not accurate. I paid at 2:54 it ended at 2:30. While the massage itself was wonderful, the significant reduction in time and the uncomfortable interaction at the end left me disappointed. I do not plan on returning.

My massage therapist was extremely musty and unpleasant. He also had really bad body odor and the entire room/hallway smelled like onions and sweat. I asked for an essential oil because I didn’t want to be rude. One of the managers brung one in and didn’t bother to switch my therapist or room. During my massage, he continually burped and cleared his throat, also swishing something around his mouth like he may have had a cough drop or mint for the entire hour. Too much pressure on my right shoulder, it feels bruised. I would not recommend him at all. My shoulder blade is extremely sore

From the moment I walked into the door of this location I was greeted with a friendly smile and listening ear from the front staff and even more so during my massage with the massage therapist. She was knowledgeable, had experience, and tailored my massage to what I was needing. Not being local to the area she gave the best recommendation on local restaurants. She truly went above and beyond! If I lived close by I would make sure I visited monthly! Fantastic experience at this location!

Inconsistencies in the services provided have significantly impacted my experience at Massage Envy. For instance, I have had a great experience with a particular therapist, only to be not as impressed with their services on another occasion. This has been a recurring issue. I provided recommendations for future services and retail offerings in the survey, these were not my top priorities. I value the quality of some services provided, and prefer to show my appreciation through a gratuity to the provider of services. I am posting this here because when attempting to provide the response on the site from the email that was sent for the review, I was not able to.

The customer service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who genuinely made me feel welcome. However, after my soothing massage session, I found myself lingering in the quiet room without any further direction. It would have been a nice touch to have a refreshing glass of water and an inviting space to relax and savor the experience. Instead, I was left to navigate my way out. Thank you for coming by, and I wish you all a fantastic day! Please remember to settle the payment as you exit (feeling). This value of the experience changed after the service was complete. I have been provided amazing service at a lesser cost with an overall "first time experience". Every experience should feel as if it's your first professional massage. Yet, I was given half of the amazing experience, and the front desk and service may want to ensure customers are provided water and a moment to relax and enjoy the overall experience Envy provides.

I highly recommend Joseph at this establishment. He knows all the muscles/joints, therefore he knows that working on this muscle or joint will help reduce pain and stress in more than one part of the body, it will also relieve tension/stiffness, and make all the aches and pains go away. Just to give an example, I use to get trigger point injections and injections in my neck, which is an outpatient procedure, but after joining Massage Envy and receiving 2 hour sessions per month, have allowed me to hold my neck back, no more injections, and less doctor visits. Huge miscommunication, it should definitely be stated when you get to the appointment that if you're late the session will be cut short and if someone is late and you know the session will be shortened why take 20 mins for intake and waiting area, my massage was scheduled for 5pm, due to an accident in traffic I didn't make it until around 5:15, my massage therapist didn't come get me from the waiting area until 5:35. I called while I was in traffic to let them know what was going on, my therapist was nice and did a decent job, but overall very unacceptable
