I truly love coming to Salon Planted. From the moment you sit in Shamone’s chair, you can feel how much she genuinely cares about you and the health of your hair and scalp. She is always patient in explaining what I need to do to keep my style fresh and to continue to better the health of my scalp. One of the best additions to the great care you get is access to products handmade by Shamone. Her hair oil is incredible! I never leave without refilling my bottle. It truly has become a staple in my routine, and I always make sure to keep it stocked at home. I highly recommend Salon Planted to anyone looking for thoughtful intentional hair care and products.

I am new to the state of NC. Looked for a beautician who knows how to do natural for seniors. Visited twice. From the moment I walked in, this beauty shop felt like home. The space was clean, warm, and inviting—every detail reflected care, pride, and professionalism. What truly sets this shop apart, though, is its deep respect and love for natural African American hair in all its beauty and versatility. The hairstylist, Ametra, was genuinely welcoming, kind, and attentive. You can feel their passion the minute they touch your hair. They don’t rush, they listen, and they treat your crown with intention. It’s clear they understand natural hair—not just the styles, but the history, the care, and the confidence that comes with it. This is more than a beauty shop; it’s a safe space where natural hair is celebrated, not "fixed." The atmosphere is uplifting, the energy is positive, and every stylist carries themselves with professionalism, skill, and heart. I left feeling refreshed, confident, and proud of my natural hair. If you’re looking for a place that honors Black hair, values cleanliness, radiates warmth, and treats you like family, this is the shop. I highly recommend them.

Ladies PLEASE book with Shamone and do the hair spa. You will not regret this service. Shamone explained everything in great detail and provided the best experience my first but definitely not my last time visiting. If you are looking for pure relaxation and a calm atmosphere this is where you need to be. This is a great self-care for you or anyone who needs a mental health day. The head spa exceeded my expectations! This service stimulated all my senses and left me totally relaxed from head to toe! The atmosphere was extremely relaxing and Shamone gently guided me through the experience. Hair and scalp therapy, facial, hot stone massage for shoulders and arms, heated massage bed and foot wrap. The appointment ended with a hot cup of herbal tea! This will definitely become apart of my self care routine!

Top tier service. The ladies in this location are very welcoming and fabulous. They are very knowledgeable on the services they provide. Very kind, extremely professional, patient, and understanding. The environment here is very clean and beautiful. If you’re looking for someone that knows what they’re doing and care about your natural hair, this is the place to go to.

Shamone did an awesome job. I walked into the shop at 9:30 am with hair that I had cut off my head 6 years ago under the trauma of grief. I left at 4:30 pm with all my hair connected and growing out of my head. Shamone put the magic in the term "Black Girl Magic. Her shop is clean and her customer service superb. I can't wait to go back!

Before my daughter’s consultation appointment, the team at Salon Planted was very kind, extremely professional, patient, understanding, and prompt in getting us scheduled. The owner had a wonderful listening ear and was very intentional in meeting this Mama Bear’s needs. During the consultation appointment, the owner was exceptionally knowledgeable and offered her wisdom as it relates to healthy scalp care. She was very clear on what I could expect during future appointments and even defined multiple ways for payment (which often at other salons seems to be an afterthought). This was great to know in advance as I am a planner. During the main appointment, they were super friendly and very patient with the complex needs of my daughter and the condition of her hair. While my little family was a little nervous, they had already gained my trust from the first phone communication. Once my daughter’s hair was done, my eyes filled with tears. I was so impressed with not only how stylish and fun her hair looked for her upcoming first day and second year of middle school, but I was also blown away at how much more healthy her scalp already looked! We look forward to getting to know the team, learn more about how to manage my daughter’s hair in between appointments, and continue the journey to healthy natural hair. I thank God I was able to connect with this local expert! Also, when we arrived home, my husband was especially happy with the outcome. Happy Mama Bear
