Halo Salon and Spa

Was there a few months ago( I suck at leaving reviews). Loved it. Homey and actually visited that street every weekend visiting my gram after years finally made the venture back up there to get a cut I’ve always stay closer to my house in archbald but will def make the drive again. Not like it’s far but…..

I've never looked forward to getting my hair done. I've never gone to one hair dresser more than a handful of times. Until Nicole! It's like having a dinner date with your bestie. AND you walk out beautified! Thanks to Nicole, I have eyebrows again. Her services are endless and I haven't found one that she doesn't flourish at! I have finally found my forever hair home.

My mom & I would go to Halo and have Mary do our hair for years. (It was our thing 🙂 Mom recently passed, so now I’m taking my baby daughter here to carry on the tradition. Halo is a friendly, clean, & laid back salon. I always feel good and my hair always looks good when I leave! <3

Nicole is an amazing artist and does great work! I had my eyebrows microbladed and am super pleased with how they came out. Very professional and personable staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Reasonable pricing. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love Chris Reese Holmes & her hair cutting skills! I also cut hair and have had many people in my lifetime cut my hair and NO ONE can do it better than Chris! Adorable place with friendly staff and owner! ❤️ Than you Chris for making my morning routine so much easier!!

I have very long, thick hair, and when I called to schedule my appointment, I was sure to tell them that so they were ready for me. When I got there, the girl asked if I wanted a wash and condition - I had just washed my hair that afternoon, so I didn't want it washed again, so I said no. Normally, in other salons, if I say that I don't want it washed, the then ask to spray my hair down with water to cut it (again, because my hair is so thick.) Not only didn't she ask to wet it down, she didn't wet it at all - cut my hair bone dry! Half way through, she said out loud "I'm not sure if I can blend this layer right or not..." but continued to hack away at my head! When I first walked out of the salon I wasn't aware how bad my hair really was, then I looked in the mirror when I got home! My layers were cut VERY uneven, and my length was uneven too (Pictures to come) When I went to another salon to get it fixed, she said: "The girl might as well have put your hair in a ponytail and sliced it off." I looked like I had a mullet - NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR! In order to repair it to get it looking fairly decent, I had to cut off about six or eight inches - It took me almost four years to grow it the length I finally wanted it to be, and now I have to start all over. When I called the salon to ask for a refund, all they offered to me was to come down and have someone fix it. Worst money spent. Never again.

I went in for a body wave perm and left with a large fried mess of hair. First of all, the girl who did my perm also dyed my hair a couple months prior (brown to caramel blonde) and didn't think it was necessary to say "hey you shouldn't perm previously dyed hair." And I didn't know you can't do that (bc I didn't go to beauty school). Secondly, when I went in to ask for a refund bc my hair was not a perm, rather It was severely and noticeably damaged, the owner said it wasn't as damaged as I said it was. My hair was so fried, I had breakage at the roots of my hair and tiny bald spots as a result of it. They offered free deep conditioning treatments, but no refund; Even though what I paid for wasn't a body wave. Terrible salon. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
