I honestly think this is the first negative review I've ever written, which makes this even more disappointing. I'm new to the area and was genuinely happy to finally find a decent salon. Natalie did a great job, and I was looking forward to continuing as a regular client - 3rd time. Unfortunately, the scheduling experience was really bad. I booked my appointment directly through their website using an available time slot. Today I received an automated text message (not even a phone call) saying my appointment had been moved 30 minutes earlier. That earlier time simply did not work for me - I'm traveling these Friday and had scheduled this very intentionally. So 1 called the salon myself to clarify and explained that this was the only time I could do it and that I didn't have flexibility or time to look for another place. Instead of trying to work with me or offer any solution that works for me, the person I spoke to just cancelled my appointment entirely. It's a shame, because the stylist was great, but the scheduling and customer service completely ruined the experience. Finding a salon you trust is hard enough - being treated this way makes it not worth the stress. This ended up pretty bad for me. I had to just a random salon and master ruined my hair and color.

The salon is warm and friendly and I was beyond impressed to witness a strong commitment to training inside this large busy salon. The salon owner TJ booked me with Katniss and provided training on most advanced hair straightening techniques from Korea. Katniss worked hard and was very adept at following the protocols perfectly, so I can recommend her work. The final results were beautiful, shiny, soft, straight hair in the grey/blonde champagne tone. I will happily return to Salon West as needed, in the years to come.

I've been a couple of times and have always had a wonderful experience, but today!!! katniss really really took care of me. I had no idea what to do, I thought I had ruined my appointment by washing my hair with garbage off brand head and shoulders my hair was doing wild things after using it...luckily we were good to go but I had no clue where to go from there. She walked me threw every step and gave me an incredible haircut and style. I was shocked and incredibly happy with the outcome. I was at a loss and she had a vision and when I say she worked magic SHE WORKED MAGIC!!!! 10 out of 10 highly recommend everyone there is super friendly. Every time I've been I've always left feeling amazing.

I severely needed some help with my hair as it had been over 6-months since my last cut it dye. I was up in the area during a trip and passed by Salon West. I decided to stop and just see if they had any availability. The employees were all so nice and helpful. They were also very accommodating and made some tile for me at the end of the day, and were patient with me when I called and mentioned id be a few minutes late. My stylist already knew the color I’d like and really helped me make decisions based on my hair type and color. She was also helpful regarding my curly hair. I had to tell her my horror story getting my hair cut by a stylist that had no idea how to cut curly hair and how traumatized I was. She was very kind, listened, and made sure to cut my hair dry and get rid of the dry, damaged areas while keeping the length. I honestly thought this was a great team of stylists and can’t wait to visit again! ❤️ I added some before pics and then a pic later with the beautiful red and tighter, healthier curls. Since moving from San Francisco to Santa Rosa about 1 1/2 year ago. I had my hair dresser for 30 years and was worried I was not going to find someone as good as her. I also just like one person doing my hair. I am so blessed to say I found someone and that person is Natalie I am so amazed and she is so amazing!! Her professionalism, grace and kindness ✨️ and talent

This is a 3 part review. One of my daughters has a haircut with Jazmin. We liked it very much, and booked a haircut with her (she herself booked it) for my other daughter 10 days later. When we came for my other daughter’s appointment, which we confirmed, and got the 1 hour reminder of before, we were told that Yazmin was running behind, wouldn’t be able to cut my daughter’s hair, but that Alex could. Since we had driven from another city for this appt, we agreed. We liked the cut, and then I decided to book a cut and color with Alex for myself. I should have known when they did the switch to not book anymore here. On the Saturday before my Tuesday appointment (which I had booked in person with Alex), I received a called from a receptionist who told me "It would be better if you could come Monday at 10." I advised her that I couldn’t come at 10. I was totally out off by that, and we will not be coming back. I think some work on phone skills would be helpful too.

On the fence and not sure if it’s fair to review based on service from one individual since there are several people to one may select. First time in and didn’t receive a great haircut but wasn’t hideous either just wasn’t exactly what asked to have done. Inside seems nice and open floor plan with stations on both sides. Everyones experience of a haircut varies and depends on what you like, that’s the obvious so perhaps you enjoy a getting your hair washed along with a scalp massage and conversation getting to know your new stylist or do you prefer not to have any conversation? I prefer to try and know my stylist with light conversions since we are mutually getting to know each other and figure out if I’ll become a long term client. My stylist happened to be uncomfortably quiet and had to talk so there wasn’t dead silence also wanted to know if they were cutting how I requested. If decided to return, will try a different stylist and update review.
