The Nook

Went here for the first time today after a friend recommended it to me for being queer-friendly. Amy was a delight and did a great job on my hair, even though I had a lot of complicated needs and questions. The price was very fair and affordable, considering all the work she put in. If you need to get your hair done, this is the place to go!

I needed an expert for my thick curly hair that was shoulder length. Aisha took great care of me. Asked the right questions and gave input when needed. Book in advance as the schedule gets full quickly. Excited for my next visit❣️

I can't be happier with how Wendy did my hair. This was my first experience getting a femme cut, and I was nervous, but she and the folks at The Nook made it a completely affirming experience. It wasn't just a haircut, though. She explained to me how I could better care for it as I continue to grow it out. When I later went back to The Nook, she did another amazing job. Looking in the mirror after she was done, I for the first time saw my hair as "pretty." I absolutely LOVE it. I am 100% going back for all my future cuts! Thanks Wendy and everyone at The Nook!

Wendy Frye at The Nook gave me a fantastic haircut! I LOVE my haircut!!!!! I have long curly - ish hair with bangs that tends to do its own thing no matter what I do. Throughout the many haircuts I’ve had throughout my life, they all seemed to end up looking the same with the issue of hair curling in all the wrong places. No one has ever done it this way before. The way she did the front is perfect! I always had to struggle to have a style, and now it works with very little effort!!! Best haircut EVER!! Thank you, Wendy!! I feel like a new person!

Just had my haircut today and I couldn't be happier I had five to six inches cut off.. I was quite nervous but Maya was so amazing, she let me know before she did anything and made sure I was comfortable with each step ... They have all the Aveda products you could ever want... I definitely will be coming back

Thanks Nook, for hanging in there through COVID 19!!! I was in last week to have my hair cut by Allison. I mean, pre-COVID I already felt like I was in a super clean salon with lots of health minded precautions but now the folks at The Nook have thought of everything to keep their clients safe and well. I also love that the Aveda products provide a clean, spa-like aroma. I was the only client in the salon at the time of my haircut with Allison. The new location allows for plenty of free available parking. Bonus! Oh and I LOVE my haircut!

I had an appointment with Myra and I wanted to leave a review because this was such an amazing haircut experience. Myra was incredibly sweet and thoughtful and gentle the entire time and listened and helped me make sense of what I was asking for. She was so thoughtful about checking in throughout the haircut to see if I wanted to make any changes and made me feel so able to ask for what I wanted. I was honestly stunned by how much care she put into cutting my hair, it was amazing. She was so detailed and did such a great job:) I’m so thankful I got to be with her! I recommend to anyone wanting a short haircut or any haircut<3
