MAMBO HAIR STUDIO

Cannot say enough great things about this hair studio. Called in for an appointment in the morning and was able to be seen that same afternoon for a wash/cut/style. The owner is fun and humble as well as fantastic at doing hair. He listens and gives advice and creates a welcoming environment. The topic of his one bad review came up in conversation & his passion for his business was obvious. The hairstylist no longer works there that created that situation. If you are looking for great hair style and a great experience, check this place out. It’s on the pricier side as he is experienced, but he is upfront about costs and what you are comfortable paying.

I am very disappointed with my experience. I made an appointment a week in advice for Saturday September 20th at 12:00 PM with Emily. I had work at 2 pm that day which is why I scheduled my appointment for that specific time. I then get a notification 30 minutes before my appointment was supposed to start that it got pushed back to 12:30. I was a little annoyed by the late change but overall it was alright. My friend and I got there at 12:25 and Emily is still working on the client before me. I assumed she was almost done and sat down. By the time Emily was done, it was close to 1pm. An hour after my scheduled appointment. I then had to cancel because I had work in an hour and knew there was no way I would be able to make it on time if I got my haircut. I asked Emily if I could reschedule, she asked if I was free the next day, Sunday, at 11 am. I was and she changed my appointment. I even received an email about the change. The next day, I arrived at 10:45 am and Mambo was closed. There was no one inside at all, the lights were off, and the door was locked. It was weird that no one was there because online it says the studio should be open at 10 am, so someone should have at least been there. I called and texted and got no reply. I waited until 11 when my appointment was scheduled for and still no one showed up. I still never got a response on the text I sent or a call back about this incident. This is very disappointing and unprofessional. My time was waisted twice and still need a hair cut.

AMAZING, loved the way my hair was cut. He gave me options that would help my hair look fuller and still kept the length. Trully I have never had such an amazing experience and the vibe in the salon is so chill and cute!!!

Got my hair done by Angel he is amazing and did exactly what I wanted from the reference pictures I was worried as this was my first time coloring my hair and I have pretty thick and wavy hair, but he did an amazing job. I definitely recommend.

Highly recommend! I got a big chop-- shoulder length to a Leonardo Dicaprio type cut and wow! My stylist was so kind and attentive, offered me water, and said I could come back for some extra adjustments in the days coming forward if I noticed anything! Quiet and stress free as well-the atmosphere is really great.

Ismael did such a phenomenal job cutting my hair, especially since adding layers and bangs can be a little bit of a dice roll sometimes! Also, just great vibes and conversation. There’s a reason this place has so many 5 star reviews. Thank you, Ismael!

Great salon with relaxed vibes. Angel does amazing work taming my curly nest - both cut and color. Absolutely recommend!
