My toddler was afraid of getting a haircut and we had many failed attempts to get it professionally done UNTIL we came to Neysa! She was really great with my son and he actually let her cut his hair! There was no rush to cut and she suggested we start him with a scissor cut rather than the razor to not scare him. During the cut, she allowed my son to play with all the fun toys she had in the studio, played his favorite show on the TV, and explained what she was doing all to make him comfy and entertained. Needless to say, his haircut turned out amazing and he didn't cry once. Neysa is so skilled and created such a great experience!

I recently took my toddler son to see Neysa for a fresh cut, as his thick ginger hair needed some taming ASAP! Neysa did not disappoint. She carefully took the time to explain her approach (he has wild & thick hair, with double cowlicks) & it's the best cut he's had! She kept notes for future visits, which was a generous bonus! Her studio is clean, with low-stimulation. Perfect for nervous little ones. I highly recommend and will definitely return!

Neysa is sincere, and takes pride in her work! Her prices are fair and the environment is great. She handles my "small farm" of children well, definitely makes me feel at ease as they tear apart her toy corner taking turns for hair cuts! Haha We're lifelong customers at this point - I simply love her service!

Our son who is 3.5 with Cerebral Palsy had his first professional hair cut here with Neysa and it couldn’t have gone better! Neysa is very efficient yet gentle and the hair cut looks SO cute. I will absolutely be bringing our son back to her for future hair cuts. Thank you Neysa 🩷

I couldn't have asked for a better first haircut experience for my daughter! She's newly 4 years old and up until recently I've been able to manage her gorgeous curls but with the weather change and curls just being generally thirsty, it was finally time for a good trim. I had received such great references from my local mom group on FB that I was more than willing to make the drive from Oceanside to San Marcos for an appointment. My daughter is generally pretty reasonable but sometimes has a hard time with new and unfamiliar situations, and expressed several times on the drive to our appointment that she didn't want a haircut so I was nervous. Neysa met us and let us in the door, taking us back to her studio. The bright yellow walls in her studio are cheery and welcoming, the tv with some monster truck cartoon playing was an immediate distraction, as was the assortment of cars, trucks, planes etc that my daughter grabbed and brought over to the chair. Neysa took a moment to explain what she was about to do, reassured that nothing would hurt and got straight to work. She also had a few different tablet choices, so my daughter picked one and was good to go. Neysa worked quickly and efficiently, communicating each step to both my daughter as well as myself and my husband (ie "I'm going to spray some water now," "we're going to put a cape on so your clothes don't get wet") so there were no off-putting surprises. Nothing felt rushed and despite working on a moving target like all kids tend to be, she was finished in no time. Neysa then offered to paint her nails but my daughter declined, so she offered a pretty braid and pulled out her phone to show options, of which my daughter chose a heart which was completed in minutes. She also got to pick a pretty bow for her finished hair, as well as a lollipop and a treasure from the treasure chest. It was such a fun experience for all of us and I couldn't have asked for anything better! My daughter left feeling beautiful and proud of herself for facing her fears, which is the best outcome of all. I definitely don't plan on waiting another 4 years to get her another haircut but I am already looking forward to her next one! I would rate more stars if I could, 5 just doesn't seem to do justice. We will definitely be back, and will be referring anyone else looking for a haircut for their kiddo. Thank you SO much for your skill and patience, Neysa!

Neysa is a miracle worker!!! My highly sensitive daughter, who won’t let me brush or wash her hair without a serious fight, absolutely LOVED her first haircut with Neysa! She not only got her hair cut and styled, but she also opted for her first little manicure! All in time for her 3rd birthday. 🥰 Neysa also gave my daughter a bow and a lollipop, and she made up 3 "first haircut" certificates with little locks of my daughter’s baby hair for us and for each set of grandparents. My daughter has talked about Neysa every day for a month now, and we play "Neysa" at home, where my daughter sprays our hair with water, "cuts" it, gives us a bow, and then "paints" our nails. She also asks to go see Neysa every time we pass the center where her salon is located. Neysa is legendary in our family! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Neysa did an amazing job with my grandson’s first haircut. Great customer service. Her shop was super clean.
