Sixth House

I've been going to Sixth House for 4 years now and I wish everyone could experience an appointment with Meghan! Meghan is not only an expert at hair cuts, fringe, touching up my roots, and balayage - but she is a truly kind and wonderful person. Her salon space is beautiful, intentional and inviting. I always look forward to my appointments with Meghan knowing that I will leave looking my best (and getting all the compliments from strangers on the street!). And as an introvert who used to dread loud and busy salons, I really appreciate Meghan and her single chair salon - I always leave feeling energized and nourished from our conversations and time together. Meghan and her salon Sixth House is a gem in San Francisco and I could not recommend her more!

I found Meghan when I first moved to SF eight years ago and have been a loyal client ever since. She is the only person I’d trust with my cuts & color- a true balayage queen! Simply the best 🤍🤍

I can’t say enough great things about Sixth House and Meghan Doyle! She is an absolutely exceptional colorist. I’ve been seeing her for a couple years, and I'm thrilled she opened up her own salon, Sixth House. It's a beautiful space, so clean and full of good vibes. Meghan goes above and beyond on my long blonde highlights. She is meticulous with the foils, seriously! I’ve referred multiple friends to Meghan, and from single-process colors to men’s haircuts, her work is impeccable. Plus, she is a delightful person with a kind and generous spirit. I highly recommend her amazing services if you’re in the market for a stylist.

My only complaint about sixth house is that Meghan does such an amazing job with my hair that for hours and sometimes days after, I am filled with the delusion that I could leave my job and husband and sustain myself solely on the salary of a full time hair model. I also sometimes wish she didn’t do as good of a job at covering up my roots and skillfully applying highlights. If my grow out looked worse or less natural, perhaps I could spend more time in the cutest salon I’ve ever laid eyes on. It took me a long time to finally write this review only because I’ve never met such a talented colorist (she patiently guided me through a phase where I wanted to be blonde) and hairstylist (she actually salvaged my post partum hair loss and made the whole thing cute) and I don’t want her to be harder to get in to. She’s the best!

Meghan is a true hair artist! I’ve been seeing her for 6 years now and am always so pleased with my experience. She’s done everything for me from trims to bigger cuts to balayage and bangs over the years, and all have turned out fabulously! This Sixth House salon space is also absolutely magical and feels like an oasis in the middle of SF. I look forward to every appointment with Meghan, from my hair, to the conversation, to the relaxing atmosphere!

With thick curly hair, ya never know what you’re going to get. With Meghan, I trust that I’ll always get a bangin’ cut. I trust her, and that’s not easy for me to say. The salon is warm, welcoming, and clean.

I've seen Ariana a few times now and she is one of the most thorough and detail-oriented hair professionals I've seen. She even texted me before my appointment to see what I wanted to do to prepare! I plan to see her again soon for a brow and lash tint and can't wait 😍
