Santiago is a hidden gem with 40 years of experience. He is definitely the best hair dresser in San Diego and does blow outs that last a week. His layers,bangs and face frames are on point! I have gone to him several times and even took my impossible teenager who came back full of smiles. He is very kind and always full of smiles and jokes. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience with Santiago. Being new to San Diego, I was looking for someone who really knows how to work with my hair—and Santiago exceeded all expectations. He listened carefully to what I wanted, delivered exactly that, and somehow made it even better. I genuinely like the result. He’s clearly highly experienced, trained, and has a great eye for detail. On top of that, he’s personable and just a fun person to be around. An easy five-star experience—I’ll absolutely be going back!

I absolutely LOVE Salon 5th Avenue Hair & Spa! I’m fairly new to San Diego and this place was recommended to me by my fiancé. I’m extremely picky and particular about who does my hair due to some bad experiences I’ve had in the past. I made an appointment with Santiago. As soon as I arrived, I was impressed with the cleanliness and overall atmosphere of the Salon. The staff was very professional and friendly which made me feel comfortable right away. Santiago took his time with me to really get an understanding of what I wanted. He was very knowledgeable about the different shades of blonde and the toner he would need to achieve the color that I wanted. My color came out amazing! He also gave me a cut and style which I loved! They also carry great products for not only your hair, but your skin as well. It’s was so refreshing to find a stylist that could achieve exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning to Salon 5th Avenue & Spa.

I have had Brazilian Blowouts, a balayage, and several haircuts with Santiago and Susanna. And I have loved all of them. They use high quality products and take their time with the styling at hand, as well as explain the process of each specific service. I highly recommend Salon 5th Avenue. Plus they are pet friendly!

Got a Brazilian Blowout from Santiago and he was the BEST! He is very experienced, informative, and has a lot of passion in his work to make sure his clients leave the salon happy! Santiago's serves are also very reasonable priced. Thank You Santiago!!

Literally the best haircut I've ever had. Santiago has real artistry. AND he managed to do things with color I never thought would be doable. His experience shows. He's honest, and doesn't give a person unreal expectations. That and he's funny, and personable and easy to relax around. 10/10 recommend. As long as he's in business, I won't be going anywhere else.
