I just moved to Del Mar in May and I was dreading having to find "my person" when it came to my hair. I got so lucky driving by Addendum and I thought "Wow this salon speaks my language". I went straight to Yelp and I kept seeing the name "Michael", so I thought Michael it is! Well, what a blessing that has been. He is so talented, so fun to chat with and has gives me the most amazing layers. I don't think I have ever had my hair look this good before! So if you're wondering, stop and go see him <3

Michael is amazing. He is probably the best blonding specialist I’ve ever been to. Took my hair from a "sandy bronde" to the brightest but also the most natural blonde I’ve ever been. He’s the real deal. Thank you Michael!

I’ve been coming to this salon for about a year now, and because of my hectic schedule, I usually end up with different stylists each visit. Every single one has done a beautiful job, and I’ve never left disappointed. That being said, this review is specifically for Jennifer, who did my hair most recently and truly worked magic. She chopped several inches off my hair and gave me a full balayage, and I have never received this many genuine compliments from friends and family. As someone who is very pregnant and not always feeling my best, seeing myself in the mirror and actually smiling because of my new hair has meant more than I can say. The confidence boost from all the compliments has been incredible. When I went back a week later for a minor tweak, and Jennifer welcomed me back with warmth and took care of it so effortlessly. Working with Asian blonde hair (plus pregnancy hormones that can make color unpredictable) is no easy task, but she absolutely nailed it. I truly cannot recommend Jennifer enough. She’s talented, thoughtful, and someone who makes you feel genuinely cared for the moment you sit in her chair. I’m so grateful to have found her!

Michael Joseph is AMAZING! He transformed my hair. I wanted a viper fade in to blonde with a money piece and he delivered better than I had expected. If you need color done look no further. I’ve never received more compliments on my hair. The salon is amazing. Great vibe and amazing staff.

Michael is amazing!!! I was looking to add some brightness and dimension to my hair as it’s been close to a year since any coloring, and Michael absolutely delivered. The color is so beautifully blended and exactly what I was looking for. He took the time to understand what I wanted, and made the whole experience so relaxing. I came in on Sunday for a walk-in blow dry. My hair was already washed, so all I needed was a blowout with some waves. Alex was very nice as a person, and I appreciated that she was able to take me in without an appointment. However, after finishing the blow dry, she began curling my hair right as her next appointment arrived. From that point on, I could tell she was rushing and curling my hair as quickly as possible in a very careless and effortless way. Even though I understand I was a walk-in, I still paid for the service and would have appreciated if she had taken the time to provide the same quality and attention as any other client. She didn’t ask if I liked the end result and quickly sent me on my way so she could move on to her next appointment. The waves didn’t last through the day since she barely left my hair on the curling iron, and I have very straight hair, so it really needed more hold. The face framing was also uneven, and overall I just didn’t feel beautiful when I left. As a business and salon, I think it’s important to ensure that every client leaves happy. I would recommend making sure stylists have the time and patience to give each client, even walk-ins, the attention they deserve for a better experience than what I had.

I had an amazing experience with Vanessa at Addendum Salon! She did my blonde and hair extensions, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and her attention to detail was incredible. My blonde is the perfect shade—bright, natural, and beautifully blended. The extensions look seamless and feel so comfortable. Vanessa is not only talented but also super friendly and made the whole process enjoyable.
