Before For several months, I was unhappy with my hair color. I wear highlights and lowlights, but my hair looked dull and lifeless. No matter how many times I tried adjusting the color or adding lowlights, the result was always wrong—either too strong for my skin tone or not sparkle enough. The natural, soft look I was hoping for just never happened. On top of that, my previous hairstylist had left patchy highlights and used a reddish, dark toner that clashed with my fair skin. I honestly felt frustrated and discouraged every time I looked in the mirror. Finding Fatima Again Fatima used to do my hair for over 10 years, so when I came across her name again at Plaza Hair Salon, it felt meant to be. After COVID and her location change, I had lost track of her, but the moment I saw her name, I knew exactly what to do. I booked an appointment immediately, walking in with so much hope because I trusted her completely. After Fatima spent nearly five hours on my hair, working with incredible patience, precision, and care. She truly listened—asking the right questions and making sure we were aligned on every detail before starting. She corrected the patchy areas, balanced the tones, and created a color that looks natural, bright, and beautifully blended, with just the right amount of light and sparkle. How I Feel Now Not only did Fatima transform my hair, she transformed how I feel about myself. I walked out feeling pretty, confident, and sexy—not just on the outside, but on the inside too. I'm so glad I did my research and chose this Salon. Mai was exceptional! She really listened to what I wanted and didn't force me to do anything. You can tell she has years of experience and is very knowledgeable. She took her time and was very meticulous with my hair. She constantly asked if I was hungry or thirsty. The salon itself is beautiful, located right off the freeway with plenty of parking. I can't wait to go back for my touch up!

Thank you so much to Hanna! I’ve only had my hair and makeup done professionally once or twice, so I was a little nervous going in. She was so warm, engaging, and sweet that all my jitters quickly went away. She also accommodated the early hour - 6:30am so that I could get to my meeting by 8am. That was above and beyond and truly appreciated. The price was also very fair for all her time and effort. The hair and makeup turned out beautifully—I truly felt like a million bucks heading into my meeting that day. Highly recommend!

We went in for full highlights and we explained to her what we did and didn’t want. We wanted blonde highlights and explained that we did not want it yellow or orange and she agreed. After washing we noticed that it looked patchy and uneven and we brought this up to her a few times and she said that it was because we didn’t get a "shadow root" and that it was on us but it clearly was an error on her end. It looks orange and uneven and looks very unnatural. The hair was also very damaged and she ignored our comments. We backed down to avoid conflict but not once did they offer to fix it.

I loved my experience here! This was my first time visiting, and Loan Tran did my hair, and she did such a wonderful job! I loved everything about this place. The staff was so kind and friendly, and the place was clean. My hairstylist is amazing, and she does amazing work on hair! If you ever need or are looking for someone around the San Diego area, I highly recommend her! She's awesome and so sweet to get along with! She puts in the time and effort to make you and your hair feel amazing.

I went to Plaza Hair Salon and Mai cut and did highlights on my hair. She is very kind and conscientious and did a great job. She made sure I was happy and is willing to do what she can to fix any issues if you have them. She recommended what to do next to save money which is so much appreciated and I never felt taken advantage of. Her salon is very clean with many returning customers. I'm definitely going back!

Horrible. Have been to this salon twice since I moved here. The first time this nice lady just cut my hair for $35 She wanted to do highlights I said no. After two and half monthsi I went again. Now I have Christine. Of course she wants to do highlight on me again. The website said They charged $:35 for haircut. But of course Christine says she needs to wash my hair. All other hair cut places wash your hair, common practice, it’s easier for them to cut it. But she charged me f or that, then she dried my hair, they charge for that too. They left it lookijg horrible, and I had to pay $65. And this lady that worked there helped her dry my hair, they were pulling my hair in two directions. Horrible experience. Never going back again. Ask questions when you go in. How much for everything. These women take advantage. You want it washed? (Yes) isn’t that normal? If you are paying $45 for a stupid haircut. They will charge you for the wash. If they dry it after haircut, they will charge you to. They don’t even ask you. They. Just do it. And then you come out with a $65 DLL bill plus tip. RIP oFF. Business
