Kay’s Salon Studio

My wife recently went to this salon for a hair appointment with Kay. , The experience was upsetting to say the least. She came home in tears, and I couldn’t believe how bad her hair looked,bnothing like what she’d showed me earlier in a possible look. The color was completely off, patchy, and just didn’t suit her at all. She had shown the stylist photos... On top of that, her face was stained with dye, and she felt the stylist was rushed and distracted the whole time, even checking her phone during the appointment. She’d requested a blowout, but her hair wasn’t even styled. When my wife reached out to express her concerns, she got a dismissive and defensive response instead of any accountability or apology. Now she’s spending more money and time with another stylist to fix this. Seeing how upset my wife was and how poorly this was handled, I wouldn’t recommend this salon or Kay to anyone unless you want a sad spouse.

I’ve been seeing this hairstylist for over a year and she has normally done a great job. I expected this time to be no different. The first photo is what I asked for and she made the highlights "brass blobs" near my scalp. When I requested it to be fixed with toner she wanted to charge me and she berated me for "not know what I wanted" and because what my hair looked like matched the photo provided. You can decide if this looks like a hairstyle you would pay $275 for plus $25 tip for a total of $300.

Kay was awesome! This is the first time I had a balayage done and I’m so impressed. She was so sweet and did an awesome job at getting the dream hair that I wanted. I wanted layers and curtain bangs as well and I loved the result! Highly recommend Kay if you’re looking for a hair stylist. Attached below are the before and after pictures.

Kay did an incredible job. I sent her photos prior to the appointment and the result looks exactly like the pictures I sent her!! I had a photoshoot the very next day and was so happy about how it turned out in the photos. She is also very sweet and fun to talk to 🙂 Definitely coming back for next time.

kay is so good with her work!! i was pretty insecure about my hair before but she trimmed and cut layers for me and then i made a second appointment to get a balayage and it made me feel so much better about my hair 🙂

I’ve come to Kay twice for my haircut and left satisfied both times! The second time I came, I wanted to bleach half of my hair and she made the whole process smooth and painless. My hair comes out the way I want and Kay is always very efficient. I also appreciate her friendly and welcoming presence. The second time I came, Kay even offered to cut my husband’s hair while I was waiting for my hair to bleach - which was very sweet of her because he needed one and we did not let her know in advance. My husband also loves his haircut. She was also super open to our questions about hair care and we were able to buy some her highly recommended products from her. Overall, I would highly recommend you go to Kay for your hairstyling needs! I know that me and my husband will be back!

After a two year hiatus thanks to the pandemic, I finally got my first professional hair cut and color treatment. And I'm so glad that I did because Kay did such an amazing job on both! I love the cut (just the right amount of layers and length) and the colors she selected for me (not over the top, just the right variations to keep my hair interesting and fun). On top of that, Kay is so easy going and open to suggestions. With her skillful hand around scissors and her friendly attitude, Kay is someone I'll be sure to return to in a few months for a touch up. Thank you, Kay!
