I am so excited to confirm that the hype is well deserved, and I am really looking forward to my next visit for other hair services!! Jess was kind, patient and so meticulous with the care of my hair during the donation process, going well and beyond any of my expectations. Jess asked questions on my hair care routine, offered practical advice on products and tools that might be well suited for my hair type, washed and styled my hair. Jess is a hair whisperer, detangling with the lightest touch. When I asked about the clips that were used, I was offered one to take home! Jess offered so much more than just a cut- but a whole holistic experience of conversation, care, concern and expertise. For years, I have been without a stylist. I am so grateful to that this process brought me to Jess. Jess is located in Black Dagger- a beautiful, well appointed and well lit salon. Black Dagger does a great job in making all of their clients feel safe and welcomed, and is truly a safe space free of judgement. They have an adorable selection of fun hair clips at the front- I will be buying a few when I return! By now I am sure you can tell this is a genuine review, as AI would have been able to write this so much more clearly 😅 I am reviewing because Jess is amazing. Because of my last appointment and experience with Jess, I am inspired to start taking better care of my hair again. Can’t wait for my next visit!!!

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair styled by Jess. She completely exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I wanted some fun color, but was not able to lighten my hair at this time, and she managed to accomplish exactly what I wanted perfectly. I had my hair highlighted and loved the color, however, I wanted it longer to be my dream hair. Went and saw Jessica and she made that a reality. She was thorough in explaining all the details of extension hair care which has been incredibly helpful. The way she colored and styled it, makes it look like my actual hair and I am in love! I appreciated her honesty and attention to detail. Throughout the process she encouraged me to speak up if something didn’t feel right in her pursuit to not only make the extensions look incredible but also feel as comfortable as they could. Would definitely recommend her.

Jess is absolutely fantastic! We first saw her over a year ago for my daughter's incredibly damaged hair and she worked wonders then so we came back for a trim and updo for my daughter's cadet ball today! We really had no idea what we wanted and Jess brought great vision and services! We WILL be going back to her again!

I absolutely enjoyed my time with Jess at Black Dagger salon. She’s an incredible hair stylist, very knowledgeable and very professional. But most importantly she’s so nice and friendly, I never met a hair stylist to do their job with such passion and dedication. She definitely does hair because she loves it. She definitely works with people because she’s sweet and friendly and loves human interaction. My hair looks amazing every time she touches it and she knows exactly what I want and what to do, plus extra points Jess is just awesome and I love spending time with her. Definitely recommend!

It is always a great day when I get to visit Jess. Before any service she always asks what goals are and truly listens, while also providing her expert insights. I'm fully at ease in her chair and consistently pleased when my hair is done. She's taught me a lot about how to best treat my baby fine hair. I love getting my color done by Jess! It's always so rich and multidimensional - never flat.
