DK stylebook

Ive gotten a few haircuts & perms in Convoy but DK is hands down my best experience. Best barber I've encountered in my life. I don't trust anybody else w/ my hair atm. He takes his craft seriously and the results are always amazing. Can be pricier for some services, but you get what you pay for. For something like a perm that you're stuck with for months, it's absolutely worth. The perm for example - other barbers (even ones who were highly rated) seem to put on the rollers more indiscriminately whereas DK tries to ensure every portion of your hair and bangs will curl in an aesthetic way. The difference = me looking like a a broccoli head ajuma vs. a kpop idol lol

I am so happy that I found DK! After the hairstylist that I had been going to for over 20 years passed away, I have been looking for a new hairstylist whom I can trust with mine and my daughter's hair. I called and he was so kind to squeeze us in the next day since we wanted her haircut before school started. DK is a true Artist. He took a look at the picture my daughter brought up on her phone, and within minutes, her hair looked just like the picture. Because of her new haircut, my daughter felt confident on her first day of school!

DK is truly the master of his craft! I wanted a digital perm and DK is the guy in SD. Was able to get in for an appt very promptly. He first gave me a haircut to create some more texture and volume before the perm, and even just that was one of the best haircuts I've gotten. The end result matched the picture I had wanted initially to a TEE, I was amazed! The cost was super reasonable given the amount of time/labor involved ($285 before tip; he was kind enough to include the treatment). Before and after pics attached. "After" hair looks red but it is just the lighting as this was several hours later and the sun was setting. Thrilled with the results and highly recommend DK for any hair services!!

If you're looking for someone specializing in working with Asian haircut, DK is the one to go to! He is very detail oriented, and his skills are exceptional. Highly recommended!

Great haircut and perm from DK. I recently grew my hair out from short to medium length and wanted to try a new hairstyle. I showed DK a couple of pictures of what I wanted and he knew exactly what to do. He’s very knowledgeable and gave me solid tips for maintenance and styling products. Definitely recommend!

Honestly this review is long overdue. I’ve been going to DK for over a year, and he is great at what he does. Very kind and gives an amazing haircut. He will cut your hair EXACTLY how you tell him (just make sure what you ask for fits your hair type and face shape!). I’ll probably be staying with him as my barber for as long as I’m in SD 😁

DK is one of the best hair stylists in San Diego! He is so knowledgeable about women and male hair and knows what to do to make hair look and be healthy. I found him many years ago and have been a loyal client ever since. I’ve always had long hair and have gotten magic straight, coloring, and haircuts from DK. My husband also gets his haircuts from DK. We both trust him with our hair and would recommend him to anyone!
