Customer Reviews
The Art of Hair Studio has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 89 reviews on Google
My first time here. A friend recommended this spot. Its now my new go to spot. My hair stylist Nae is on point. Laid back cool stylist. All the stylist here have flavor. Im glad I came. 💯
I gave this salon a chance despite the poor reviews but the experience was a complete failure in professionalism. Before arriving I spoke to the owner Tasha who explicitly assured me someone would be available, yet I arrived to immediate confusion regarding staff availability. While Janae did a great job with the wash and blow-dry she did inform me that she doesn't cut hair and the stylist who stepped in botched the trim. Although I was initially hesitant to return, I took recommendations to let the salon fix the error, which proved to be a mistake. The scheduling process was chaotic, and upon my return the atmosphere was incredibly tense. Tasha was dismissive and hostile at one point she became upset because I began recording my own experience, even though I wasn't filming her. Instead of being valued, I was blamed for the issues and subjected to further disrespect when the owner refused to use my name properly. I was ultimately told to pay and leave which I did but I will never return. I strongly advise others to believe the negative reviews this establishment lacks basic customer service ethics and respect.
Rosemary and Tasha are a pleasure to speak with and are professionals. Rosemary never fails if im going blonde or dying my hair back to brown always on point! Trust to the fullest!!
I brought my daughter in for a 0730 appointment (wash and flat iron) that Tasha had agreed to the day before. At 1000 my daughter texted me that she was sitting on the side because Tasha took another 0900 appointment. At 1145 I finally went to pick up my daughter (she had a 1200 nail appointment) and Tasha still had not completed her hair. She was blow dried but sitting there. After 4+ hours, my daughter's hair was still not flat ironed and then Tasha charged me $85 for the pleasure. Please do not visit this salon if professionalism is your expectation. If the owner could not accomodate me when I called for the appt, she could have said so, instead of taking the appointment then not following thru. She did not even call me to let me know that she was putting other clients before my daughter. Totally unprofessional and shady. Take your business elsewhere.
Wonderful experience and Ari is just so sweet 10/10 recommend. Love my braids down!
Please listen to the other reviews and look elsewhere to get your hair done. I booked a 2 strand twist via booksy with Erin. When I walked in there were two ladies who were not friendly and did not greet me. I introduced myself and they kind of just looked at me like OK and. Then we went to the shampoo bowl and she started doing my hair. When I showed her the picture that I wanted, she explained that that wouldn’t really work, I’ve been getting two strand twist for years. That’s always the picture I show it’s never been an issue… While she was doing my hair, her hand smelled like smoke which was so offputting to me, she and the other girl were speaking very unprofessionally. At one point, I even think she took a call or a client was trying to book something for the next coming Saturday. She told her I’ll have to check my books and get back with you and when she got off the phone, she joked with the other girl in the salon and said I won’t be doing that and laughed. Of course, when my hair was done, it was wrong. I didn’t complain. I knew my hair would be wrong as soon as I step foot in the salon. When I wasn’t expecting, however, was to get home and to be charged a cancellation/no show fee. Yesterday I called the salon and I reached who I think is the owner of the actual salon, Tasha she told me she was busy and will get back with me. She didn’t. I called again this morning and she explained that the deposit That I paid on Booksy was just a holding fee and that the other half that I paid In the salon via Zelle Was actually the only money that Aaron received and so her solution was to charge me a cancellation fee so that she would be paid in full… Tasha was apologetic and understanding and conceited that this is something that should’ve been explained to me prior to doing… She said she called me twice yesterday and had the proof, however, I have no missed calls and no voicemails. Needless to say, I won’t be returning and I wanted to add my experience here so other people can know what happened to me.
First timer , had a lovely experience with Erin and Shelly. The ladies in general are very caring and did a great job on my hair . I’ll definitely be back
