So I tend to be hairdresser adverse because I am not very good about keeping up 'styles' but I'd been feeling so awful about the way I looked since an illness & menopause hit & I knew I had to do something before I went to visit my dad in May. I Googled & found Shag which has a great very detailed explanatory website on all that they can do. I knew with the amount of hair I'd lost I'd do well with a cut that emphasized volume & stopped my hair jus 'hanging' flat. I met the owner, who is a really nice knowledgeable guy & my hair-stylist was Julie who is a really lovely person. I felt really comfortable & welcomed. The products they use are often natural & really smell great. The actual hair-salon is groovy & has a good vibe. It is very clean & everyone's super friendly. You don't feel that this is a stuck-up place at all, which is a huge win for me as I get really intimidated in those kinds of places. But the quality of cutting is as good as those snobby places. I have had my hair cut in Europe by Vidal Sasoon and Trevor Sorbee and other high-end hair-cut places & this cut was EASILY as good. My hair was long & weighing me down. Julie gave me super-flattering cut & useful practical advise & is a natural-born-talent as far as knowing how to make the best of a person's hair. She's also really kind. I left feeling super-glad I found Shag The Salon & I will definitely return, not only for future hair-styling & cuts, but also to get rid of those greys I have coming in. I'm so glad to find Shag because it's hard to find reliable, knowledgeable hair-salons that you can rely upon & want to return to. I will be recommending Shag. It is everything it says & more & if a fair-priced local salon with big ideas & nice people is your idea of a great place as it is mine, you'll be glad you tried here.

Cameron did an amazing job on cutting, and dying my girlfriends hair! If you ask for her, you won't be disappointed and she'll put in all the time it takes to get it done.
