Ashton gave me a layered hair cut! She was so gentle and is talented at her craft. I will be back for highlights. I would definitely recommend! I have type 4 hair also. She did a great job. I can't say it enough!

I LOVED my experience at Joyez! The salon is a total vibe & their customer service is top notch. A lot of times, hair appointments feel like a chore & can be long, painful, & boring… not here! The shampoo sets the tone & truly feels like a spa experience. Everyone that works there is so sweet & professional. My stylist Ashton is so knowledgeable & fun! I can’t wait to see how my hair flourishes under her care. Highly recommend!

I chose to visit Joyez Salon and Spa, not only because of its convenient location, but also because I had noticed the owner outside on multiple occasions, smiling and engaging warmly with passerby. Her genuine kindness and warmth immediately drew me in, and after my experience, I can confidently say that it was her spirit and the overall atmosphere of the salon that will keep me coming back. From start to finish, my visit was nothing short of wonderful. I received an absolutely gorgeous haircut, but what truly stood out to me was the invaluable guidance I received from the team on how to nurture not just the health of my hair, but my overall well-being. Joyez Salon isn’t just about beauty, it’s a place that embraces a holistic approach to wellness, offering a safe, caring space where beauty is treated with the utmost respect and intention. What also makes this salon so special are the beautiful humans who work there. The owner runs a nonprofit that supports the most vulnerable members of our community, which speaks volumes about her heart and mission. And if that wasn’t enough, there are also the "salon puppies"who undoubtedly bring smiles and joy to everyone who walks through the doors! The name "Joyez" is so fitting, and as I spent time at the salon, I truly came to understand the depth of its meaning. It’s not just a name; it’s a philosophy that permeates every aspect of the experience. I highly recommend Joyez Salon for anyone looking to not only look their best but feel their best, too!

I’ve had my locs for 15 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a hair experience like this until I came here. Mariah did an incredible job on my hair but it wasn’t just the style that impressed me, it was the entire experience. From the moment I walked in and sat in the chair, I was treated with care and professionalism. For the first time ever, I received a hand massage and facial while getting my hair done. That level of self care during a loc appointment was new to me and definitely appreciated! On top of that, she offered me complimentary lavender tea, which I had never tried before. It was so good I asked if I could take some home and they were so prepared, they had it available for purchase right on the spot. The care I received here didn’t just stay in the salon. It followed me home. That’s what sets this place apart. A+ service, all around. If you’re looking for a new stylist or just want to treat yourself, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

The friendliness of the staff was spot on. The appearance and ambience of the salon was spot on. The downside: Per visiting this establishment for the first time on Wednesday (Oct 22nd), the stylist, Heavenly, via a text communication quoted me a Wednesday promo rate for a Silkpress of $65. During that text communication , I stressed I only wanted a light dusting of my ends and NOT a hair cut. At NO point during the text communication was it conveyed of an additional charge. Yet upon checkout I had a $45 charge for a cut!!! While checking out, the stylist had moved on to another client. I then asked the receptionist/clerk for the manager and/or owner and I was told no one was available. I asked for a call back which I’m awaiting on. My service came to a total of $110 before tip. This was quite startling! Yesterday (Oct 23rd), I received a text from the stylist…. No apology nor offer of a partial refund in-spite of me still having paid a 20% tip. I expressed to her the following direct quote from the text, "I respectfully say, I wish I would've known, because $45 for a trim and not a cut, is quite exorbitant. For future clients, it would be best practice to advise of the added cost without the notion of an inclusive cost." I won’t be returning considering I still have NOT received a call from the management!!!! Ja’nice B.

I had such a great experience for it being my first time there. I walked in and the staff were super nice and helpful with all my questions. The stylist Crystal did my hair and she was great and super helpful with answering all my hair questions! She definitely helped me narrow down what was best for my hair and ended up with a great finish. Will be going back there for my next treatment!

After three years of looking for a natural hair salon in San Antonio, I finally found one! I'm so happy!! I called around 11 am and was sitting in Jennifer's chair at 1230 pm. I was greeted with friendly and smilely faces and was given a tour of the salon. Jennifer did an amazing job on my hair - it was her first roller set, she was nervous and I was highly skeptical of the outcome, if I'm being honest. lol The owner, Adrienne walked Jennifer through the entire process and assured me that I was in good hands. I trusted the process and was so happy with the outcome! I've found my salon! Thank you, Jennifer, Ashton and Adrienne for a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back.
