It can be difficult to find a salon, but I am so glad I came across J’ Jireh’s Salon & Hair Restoration Center during a quick Google search. My appointment was this past Friday, and the ease of booking was great. Upon arrival, the atmosphere of the salon was instantly comfy and cozy, with a positive vibe. My stylist, Michelle, is absolutely exceptional. I went in for a silk press and a much-needed trim, as my hair had been looking dull and dry since I hadn't had a style and trim in a while. Michelle is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about her work. She took the time to assess my hair. Michelle did a great job, and my hair looks healthy and vibrant again. I have received plenty of compliments on my hair since my appointment. Thank you, Michelle, for your dedication and beautiful work! I highly recommend this salon.
Ms. Michelle at J jirehs Salon & Hair Restoration Ctr cut, colored, and styled my hair on 1/30/26. Ms. Michelle saw and understood my vision and brought it to life! I am very picky about my hair and how it is styled particularly when it is short, and I feel confident that Ms. Michelle will keep me right! Check her out! Thank you, Ms. Michelle.
I’m new to San Antonio. I haven’t even been to this salon. I wanted to book an appointment after seeing how beautiful the photos looked, but after reading the comments and seeing the unprofessional responses the owner, I assume, is leaving under these people’s posts, I changed my mind. Based on your responses, you seem to lack accountability and professionalism, which seems to be a hard thing to find with black businesses, unfortunately. Your responses tells me that you will not respect my time that I’m taking off from work to come to your salon and you will not take accountability for inconveniencing me. I was disgusted with a particular comment where you gaslit that one client for complaining about you changing her appointment more than once and you tried to gas light her by saying she should give you grace since you were "going through something." You have a business. It is your job to appease your clients, not the other way around. You’re still expected to be professional and TIMELY in the way you handle your business. Not okay! Do better for your clients. You’re too talented to be like this.
I had such a great experience today! She took her time, made me feel comfortable, and did an amazing job on my hair. I absolutely love the results! I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend her! 💛✨"
She's definitely a master at her craft hands down but she's unprofessional. I never went back to her and its been a few years but I can talk about it today because from what I am reading it's not the first or last time in terms of her behavior. She has on several occasions texted me asking to move my appointment later. I obliged. But when I was sick once the morning of an appointment she deactivated my ability to book future appointments. Very little empathy. She was also disrespectful to me when I was describing a style to her. I guess I was too descriptive and she let it be known in the shop in front of other clients. During the styling I was also making another suggestion and I heard the clippers she was using in my head make a strange sound as she sort of jerked it against the back of my head. It was super rough but it was sudden and irregular and the clippers made this odd sound. I wasn't hurt but it was unmistakable that the pattern and intensity shifted when I pointed to the back of my head and making a suggestion. Didn't think much of it. Never checked the back of my head when leaving because she's a master at cutting and never disappoints. That evening I looked at my hair at home and you would have thought a newbie had cut my hair. I was surprised to see hair then drop off then hair. Not blended. My hair has cowlicks so if you cut against them, it looks like baldspots. I never went back to her again and learned to discern who I allow in my head. I am just happy it was the clippers and not a curling iron in her hand. I think she is partial to who she believes is important or of a certain status. I personally love going to places looking as plain and regular as can be. You learn so much vs when you're dressed to the 9's. I have no doubt that she give amazing service to specific clients and perhaps her regulars. I have seen her work. Its unmatched so far but GOD always teaches us to be careful how we treat those the builders want to reject. Meaning those we deem unimportant. Never fly too high Icarus. Same principle applies to me. I am a real person and this is no vendetta but truly what happened to me. Hands down. She is a top of the line hair artist but for me, I will rather be patient with a stylist who may not be as good but humble, respectful and professional.
When I first moved to San Antonio, I was nervous about finding a new hairstylist for my relaxers. My dad had done my hair my entire life, so trusting someone new was a big step for me. Thankfully, I came across J’ Jireh’s Salon & Hair Restoration Center and saw all the amazing reviews—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I met Michelle, I knew I was in good hands. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about her work. Her salon has such a warm, positive vibe, and her energy is truly uplifting. Fast forward a few months, and she’s now my go-to stylist for the foreseeable future. I’m beyond grateful to have found her on my first try in San Antonio. As long as she’ll have me, I’ll be a loyal client!
Had a wonderful experiences. Ms.Michelle give me cut and style I wanted.Updated review I been waiting to write this review again cause the experience I had on 2/6/26 was unacceptable Ms.Michelle put me on stop on infront of other clients very embarrassing and the embarrassment/unprofessional behavior kept going to the end of the appointment.I will not be returning(all this took place infront of my 13yr daughter that was also getting her hair done)Ms.Michelle know that her behavior was unacceptable,I feel as if she was deliberately trying to make me feel some type of way.If she didn't want us there she shouldn't booked us.This was not out first time going to her but would be our last. The Most High Knows...
