Fantastic Sams Cut & Color Culebra

The hair stylist seemed to be in a rush since it was the Sunday with bad weather (yesterday). She took less than 10 minutes and since I did not want a shampoo she didn’t even wet my hair to cut it. I told her I wanted layers. The sides and hair overall are very uneven. Worse haircut I’ve ever gotten. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Making another appointment somewhere else to fix my hair. The good thing is that she didn’t cut it short which is always my fear when I visit a new place. Do not recommend this place.

I want to provide feedback on my recent visit, which included both an excellent experience and a deeply disappointing one. Nancy was amazing and exceptionally patient while learning how to cut my son's hair. She helped him feel comfortable when he was nervous and did a great job on his curl cut. My stylist did not properly assess the service. She informed me after starting the color application that the price would be higher, and she wasted a significant amount of color.The primary issue is the color was completely wrong. I have medium dark brown hair and requested an all-over color to remove my blonde highlights. My hair was dyed black, which is now darker than a sharpie. She insisted it was a dark brown, but the result is clearly black. This was a very disappointing experience and a waste of money, as I now have to pay another professional to correct the color.

Swan was amazing. Quick, Efficient and hair cut was on point. Esp with a picky teen that is on the spectrum! He loves her and that says ALOT! Def going to her for all our hair needs.

Nancy is our stylist. Highly recommend if you want anything done. All the women in my family go to her for her services. 🩵

My son’s stylist was so kind and patient with him, and got him chatting right away. I usually take him to a kids’ salon or Great Clips, but since I go to Fantastic Sam’s for my own hair, I decided to give it a shot for him too. I’m glad I did.

Brittney did an amazing job at matching my color when she did my root touch up. I am super happy with her work & will continue to go get my hair done with her. All the ladies in the salon are super friendly😊

WIFE:: I have gone to Fantastic Sams for years. I have had several unpleasant experiences prior to moving to San Antonio, but when I found Daisy Escobedo at the Culebra location, (10650 Culebra Road) suite 112, my prayers had been answered! She had been a wonderful stylist and colorist for the last 18 months! I called Fantastic Sams on 02/17/2023 to request a balayage service and hair trim for Monday, February 20th with Daisy. Unfortunately she is on maternity leave so I was booked with another stylist at that location. When I arrived this morning at 9:30, my stylist stated that the appointment was never placed in the computer. However, she was extremely courteous and professional and she seated me for my appointment. I explained what Daisy had done in December with a blonde balayage and a darker smudged root. My hair had held up beautifully and the colors/toners used should still be in the computer system from my last service. My stylist stated she was going to use the bleach first and then tone to blend. My hair is long, and the whole color service was an hour total. After my hair trim I left and went home to style. The pictures below tell a thousand words. This is definitely not balayage. It’s definitely not even a full head highlight. The orange discoloration is where my root smudge once was and the ashy blonde streaks are the uneven highlights that were done. There is no toner in the world that could blend this disaster. I am beyond dissatisfied, I am devastated. I have contacted FS customer service to request a color correction at their expense with a different Fantastic Sams salon closer to me. Hopefully this review will motivate the corporate office to respond sooner than later.
