Love coming to this salon!! Before I share my experience at RLB Hair Salon plus Barbering, I must share the backstory. Rodney was my hairstylist 30 years ago at Studio B. I wore a short relaxed cut and even then I knew he was talented..gifted. Fast forward, I relocated back to the area and began looking for a hairstylist. I’m very picky when it comes to my hair. I ask a lot of questions because healthy hair is most important. I googled Rodney’s name and to my surprise, he was here. When you walk into the salon, the atmosphere is warm and everyone is so friendly. He has a top notch team - Alex, Trelle and Yvette are amazing. They work as a team always complimenting each other and the clients. Now I wear my hair natural and loving it, thanks to Rodney!!

I got my hair done today by Ms.Trell, when I tell you this place is so professional and very clean. This is by far the BEST hair salon I've ever been to in all my 25 years of getting my hair done! They are all very nice, compassionate, caring people. They treat you like a friend🩷 more than just a client. Nowadays it's hard to find someone who will take the time to help you understand your hair and tell you what you can do with it but Trell did all that for me and so much more!! I had a bad experience with another place trying to get mini twist but today I have now found a place I'll always go to and I have a permanent hairdresser now🩷. THANK YOU TRELL🩷🩷🩷

Rodney Barnes Hair Salon has been such a blessing! Growing up as a cosmetologist’s kid and seeing first hand the entrepreneurial journey within the hair industry, I was nothing short of nervous when I moved away from home and had to find a new hair dresser. My Dad was the only person to EVER do my hair and I just assumed that finding a new hair dresser that I was comfortable with was going to be a tall task. Soon after, my great friend from college recommended me to go see Alex at Rodney Barnes who just so happened to rock a super dope short haircut. The moment I walked in, I knew it was the place to be. The environment was extremely professional, spotless, and everyone was so friendly, not to mention the owner was a male, just like my Dad for over 30 years! Alex, my stylist, was personable and I felt like I already knew her! Even now as a regular client, Alex continues to make me feel comfortable, and she has no problem educating me throughout the process when I have questions during appointments. Mr. Rodney is an excellent leader in the industry and his entire team is consistent and top notch. Looking for good vibes, good tunes, consistency, and oh yea, an excellent ‘hairdo’? Rodney Barnes Hair Salon is the place to go!

My experience at Rodney Barnes Hair Salon was amazing. All the stylists are extremely courteous and professional. Even coming in as a first time client, I felt welcomed. My stylist, Alex, was very friendly, and she even took the time to recommend ways I could tailor my haircare regimen to fit my specific hair needs. I was very pleased with the way my hair turned out, and have already scheduled another appointment!

I had the most amazing experience today at this salon. Rodney & his entire staff are courteous, respectful & very professional. Prior to my appointment I had a consultation with Rodney. He listened to my concerns & my expectations. He was very honest & informative. He explained the process as well as giving me his professional opinion. He showed me recent pics of clients & gave me suggestions so I would know what to expect. Today I walked out of the salon a highly satisfied customer. I have a beautiful color, cut & style & I could not be happier. He also explained to me how to apply product & style my hair until my next appointment. I am so happy that I have found a stylist to care for my natural grey hair.

Got a virgin relaxer for my hair, and it feels and looks great! My previous stylist under-processed my hair, and I was worried I would need to get it cut. Going in for a hair consolation, I was reassured that I wouldn't need to chop off the bad part. Rodney asked questions and walked me through the process and pricing, making me feel appreciated. Shantrell (cool stylist with a nice red hair do) did an awesome job. She was very organized and concerned for my well being through the whole experience. This Salon sits on the Iron Throne, and I most definitely will come back for a retouch. Thank y'all so much for fixing 3 years of pandemic/job/laziness push back!!

Rodney, Alex and Trell are the most professional and friendly stylists I've encountered. Alex is my stylist but everyone is the shop is pleasant and makes me feel welcome. I'm greeted at every appointment,. There is no wait time and my appointments are short. I also love the products used at the salon and have purchased some for home use. At my consultation with Alex, I explained what I wanted and she executed. From color to cut to styling, Alex is amazing at her craft. I highly recommend this salon.
