Mischelle Barnes Hair Salon

My service was a wash, detangle and silk press. Scheduling my appointment was quick, easy, and very professional. The overall environment is so warming & fun. Mischelle, as well as her other hairstylists were engaging with all of the clients in the salon. I went in with a birds nest, hair haven’t been detangled in several weeks and instead of being judgmental like most hairstylists, Mischelle was very understanding, patient, and even educated me on hair care. 10/10 recommend and excites me to book my next appointment!

My experience was so great . Bre did my braids . She was familiar and nice . In I love my braids so much . She did a wonderful job.

My first visit was a starter locs appointment with Bug was at 3pm and was told it would take 2hrs but I didn't leave until after 9pm. 2 people walked in and I guess they were regular clients because I was told to sit to the side several times while they got their hair done. My hair was rushed and not even twisted to the ends. Im big on loyalty so I gave her a second chance for a re twist. Waited over an hour appointment was at 5pm my hair wasn't started until after 6:30 and it was rushed again. Ends still loose and not twisted. She likes to braid your hair to hide the lazy work. What's the purpose of scheduling an appointment only to have to wait over an hour for service. I will not be going back a 3rd time and will definitely go somewhere else. Waste of money and time lack of consideration and professionalism. My hair isn't even 2 weeks old smh

UPDATE: My son got his hair redone and he approves of it. Update from 2 Star to 4 Star for the customer service upon his return to the salon. My son got his locs done here. Terrible Job. His locs were about 12-18 inches on the top of head only and he wanted to cut in half and reattach to the grown out sides. Looked great when complete, but the moment he undid the 2 strand twisting, they all started to fall out. His stylist agreed to redo his hair, so we shall see the outcome and I will update my post

I can’t say enough great things about Ms. Mischelle! I called her salon in a panic about my daughter’s hair and she calmed me down immediately and was so willing to assist. She not only helped with my daughter’s hair, but provided me with so much knowledge on how to properly maintain and care for my daughter’s hair going forward. My daughter absolutely adores her and LOVES her new hairstyle. Ms. Mischelle has a customer for life!!!

I love coming here to get my hair done!!! The service is ALWAYS amazing the atmosphere is peaceful and loving! I don’t ever have to wait long for services of any kind! I will always keep coming back here to get my hair slayed! Mackenzie (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) is one of the best hairstylists I’ve ever had!

My first experience was horrible.. I got there 5 min early Sat 11/18/23 and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant. No greeting or anything like I wasn't supposed to be there. This was supposed to be a mommy me pampering day but it turned into a sad day. The stylist kept sitting me to the side to take care of 3 other clients and I've never had that happen before! Very unprofessional and also I got there at 10:25 and didn't leave till 3:30. The prelooped crochet style would have had me out the door by 12! I literally had to fight back tears and collect myself because this was supposed to be a nice break away but Instead it was stressful. I didn't get a apology or reason as to why I had to keep getting sit to the side..... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I'll gladly go to my usual at home stylist.
