Triangle Hair Studio

My stylist’s name was Lucky and she did a fantastic job. My ungovernable, wind-swept hair had been growing out for two years and it was ready to be tamed. I called ahead and the person who answered the phone recommended a Transformation Cut since I was asking for quite a bit of hair to be taken off. They were transparent about the pricing over the phone in addition to having all that online, too. Sounded good to me. My haircut was swift but detailed. And this next part is TMI, but I apparently had some wild dandruff that I hadn’t really noticed due to my hair being a gorgeous untamed shrine to Mother Nature’s near-flawless human hair designs. I say near flawless because I had dandruff. I would’ve been embarrassed but Lucky reassured me that it is pretty normal. So I cut myself some slack and just enjoyed the haircut. Since it was so fast, she also walked the haircut back by one tier which saved me some money. Lucky also recommended for me some great shampoo and styling products to help with preventative maintenance. Hell yeah! Thank you Lucky! I’ll be back for sure.

I saw Charley 2 months ago for my first haircut with the salon, and it was an exceptional experience.

The vibe at Triangle is so chill and relaxing. Everyone I’ve interacted with at the front desk is super helpful and makes checkout so easy. I also love that they offer online booking. Rachel (my stylist) is a literal goddess. Every time I see her for a haircut, she is always so collaborative and seems to almost read my mind when I bring up wanting to try something new. I greatly appreciate the attention to detail with my stylist and the overall experience at Triangle. They are so thoughtful and welcoming - 10/10 will always recommend.

I wanted to find another hair stylist in Richmond after my hair kinda suffered from the last one. I came across Triangle and went with Lucky. I had a consultation with her and I felt she understood and listened to my issues with my hair. The cut came out great and it shows that she cares about you being happy with your hair. Would definitely come back here again.

I went to Circle Square Salon one time before and had Lucky Newton who did my perm and she did an amazing job. I wanted to come again 4 months later and decided to book with Lucky Newton again and this time she was at Triangle Hair Studio which I believe is the second shop for Circle Square Salon. She did an amazing job again but when i went to the front desk they charged me 289 dollars for a perm when the first time it was 160. I was confused how the price went up 120 dollars within 4 months but keep in mind I am really young and I still look like a child so i believe they tried to rip me off since I am young and I guess for that reason i can be fooled easily. I was too scared to say anything as this never happened to me before and there was quite a few people in the front right where I was being charged and I am already a shy person so I did not say anything. When I got home I told my mom and she said that they had ripped me off and it had to be taken care of. She said that since I am really young they made a fool of me. The next day she came back to Triangle Hair Studio and told them about what happened and they said there may have been a price increase. My mom had asked how it went up 120 in such a quick period of time and they said they were not sure that the managers are not here and that she should come back Tuesday. My mom said that she would not leave until there is a refund so she waited a while and finally got a refund. The refund showed that the actual price for a medium perm is 129 dollars so they basically tried scamming me of 160 dollars which is a crazy amount. Even the first time at Circle Square Salon they charged me 160 when it is actually 130. I really do not recommend coming here because they will try to rip you off so if you do come here please be very careful as they WILL TRY to rip you off especially if you are young. I thought that since Circle Square Salon has lots of reviews that Triangle Hair Studio would also be trusted but I guess big salons will try to scam you too. I am really sad because I do like Lucky Newton's perms but I am not too sure if I want to come back because the people at the front desk are scammers.

Great haircut experience. I had grown my hair out a bit and needed some expert work and Charley helped me out. Really improved my whole look! The salon vibes are also very laid back. Great spot on Robinson.

All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The salon is comfortable and fairly quiet which is nice for those who might get overwhelmed at a busier spot. Lucky was very patient and did a fantastic job on my mother’s hair.
