Okina Salon gets 5 stars for a reason! I grew up getting my hair cut by my mom so going to hair salons as an adult is sort of like pulling teeth for me. But I tried this salon because I wanted to really transform my hair (cut and fashion color) and I wasn't really happy with experiences I've had with other salons in the area. Ashley was extremely helpful and thorough the moment I booked the appointment, making sure to reach out beforehand and ask about my vision for the fashion color so she could make sure she had the right products. At the appointment itself, Ashley listened to my thick hair concerns about having really choppy layers, and she used a razor instead of scissors to soften the look. She was careful yet efficient with the balayage. She used two shades of hair dye to give the look more dimension, which is something I wouldn't think to do on my own. The hair washing/rinsing at the sink was weirdly comfortable haha, and I walked out of the salon without a single piece of hair on my clothing... and with a sick purple hairdo that I'll cherish for months down the road! From that to the fact that my introverted self was able to chat with Ashley for 5 hours straight, this was easily the most comfortable and worthwhile salon experience I've ever had. I can't recommend Ashley at Okina enough. 💜💜

Ashley is awesome at what she does! Been here twice and both times was very happy with my color. I recommend if you want beautiful hair coloring definitely check this place out. She also cut my kids hair and they loved her. Thank you!

Great experience! Ashley helped me with a great color and haircut!! I am normally a boring person and needed change after not styling my hair for over 5 years and Ashley gave me a great look! She's very friendly and checked in with me the whole way through the styling process to make sure I was ok with the look I wanted

My whole family goes to Ashley. She always gives us the best cuts and I love the studio! It’s clean and comfortable. I also love how safe I feel with the single station during this pandemic. Ashley is talented and a great conversationalist. She always makes us feel at ease.

My tiny family and I have been going to Ashley for a couple years now. She is the sweetest hairstylist anyone can ask for , she actually listens to you and gives the best feedback. Super precessional. Also my son (5yrs) hates haircuts and throws a fit every time , Ashley always handles it so professionally and managed to give him the best haircut ever

Ashley has been my stylist for years and I love her. My hair is very hard to deal with and yet she keeps me happy. I have a hard time deciding sometimes and she very kindly helps me decide. I would definitely recommend Ashley at Okina Salon

100% can’t recommend Ashley enough for a haircut and style. I was lucky enough to find her when she moved from another location to be on her own, and I’m still willing to drive from Carson to see her in Reno! She not only knows what she is doing but has an awesome personality on top of it! 😊
