Dongsheng Hair Salon

Not having had a haircut for a long time, I decided to try Dong Sheng Studio. I thought it wouldn't be busy on a weekday morning so I walked in to find the 2 stylists already occupied with customers. Luckily, one of the stylists, Jacky, was almost done so he was ready shortly after my hair was washed. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, which was just a V cut. He asked if I wanted my hair shorter, and I told him no because I like long hair. I recommend bringing a picture to show your stylist. It's more straight forward than trying to describe what you want. Jacky cut my hair with great detail and skill. My hair came out looking so much cleaner, healthier and more refined, making me realize how bad it was in the first place! Everyone working here was friendly and didn't try to sell me any products. I'm really happy to have found a local hair salon to fulfill my beauty needs.

They do an excellent job! I don’t understand the low reviews. I tried a higher-rated place, and both my kids ended up with terrible haircuts. I started asking people in a street with great looking hair where they got it done - that’s how I found this place, and you can see result. Now, both my kids and I get our haircuts here.

The worst salon ever - disrespectful owners double booking appointment slots, and when both customers showed up at the same time for their "confirmed" appointment time, the guy was completely non-apologetic and showed very cold attitude. In terms of actual hair cutting skills, they are just so so, did an OK job but there are numerous other salons that can cut hair as well as they do meanwhile far more professional and reasonable.

The lady took two phone calls during my haircut. One is business related which is understandable. However the other phone call is personal affair and she talked on the phone for ~3mins and came back without any hint of apology. The haircut took much longer than I expected. I knew this cannot be cheap, BTW there is no price information within the store, but I was still a shocked when she showed me the # on the CC reader. Haircut is OK but IMOP definately not worthy of 55$+tip for a simple man's cut. Will not go back again.

I have been shopping around to find a good hair dress who can handle my hair. I have thick and coarse hair; and it is a challenge for most hair dressers. Jacky is a great hair dresser with excellent skills. He does my low lights (to blend out my grays) and does great hair cuts. The hair cut makes my hair just fall in the right place Jacky is very patient and I highly recommend him.

Strictly one star. I booked a 5:30 haircut, arrived at 5:40 because of traffic issue, and was asked to wait since both stylists were serving other customers. Both customers being served looked like to have been served for a while, so I m sure they gave me up in one or two minutes after 5:30 or possibly earlier. Still, I felt profoundly sorry about being late for sure. I sat there for 40 minutes and at 6:20, was told to wait again because they had to serve the customer who booked 6:00!!!! Apparently they may well have told me I needed to wait 40 mins plus another 40 mins or they could have just refused to serve when I arrived. Really ridiculous salon, overbooking customers in one time slot, unable to complete haircut within time slot, retaliating customer who is late.🧐. I wish this salon can be a more professional place to visit. But at the moment please avoid.😊

I'm very disappointed with the service at this salon. They didn’t do what I asked for and didn't listen to my requests. One of the staff members made my hair look terrible. I trusted them, but now I’m really unhappy with the result.
