Amal Hair Studio

Amal works in a multi-stylist building. Each stylist has their own separate workspace with a heavy sliding glass door. She keeps her space clean and comfortable, with a relaxed vibe. Amal is very talented with hair like mine - very fine, graying, thinning. She asks me detailed questions to learn more about it and about what I want. (She also makes good suggestions if, like me, you're not sure what you want.) As well, Amal is personable and easy to chat with. She has cut my sister's hair for years and it always looks great, so when I needed a new stylist this fall I went to Amal. Today was my second cut from her. I've been very pleased both times, and fully expect more of the same as we get to know each other.

The most GORGEOUS hair of my life, Amal really cares for you, and she loves dealing with color, she's so meticulous and such a good & interesting person as well. We had the best chat! I'm not a super social person but she's just friendly and very interesting. I get highlights touch up usually but my hair was too blonde at that point, it just happens when you always get highlights, Amal really listened to me, added lowlights, gave me a lot of advice on my hair (it's really fine european hair, it's super hard to figure out) some products weigh my hair down and some products simply don't work but Amal is extremely intelligent, has really good taste. OMG i'm sooo happy!!! thank you so much Amal, i'll try to plan my trip and get my hair done only by you!

Amal is one of the best hairdressers you will find out there. Not only does she pay great attention to detail but she is very color savvy, and a hard worker. She also genuinely cares for her clients and her goal is to make them happy. She is experienced with all hair types but especially middle eastern curly hair. I started using Amal 3 years ago after my hairdresser retired and haven't regret it since. She always does a great job on my keratin, color, highlights, and cut and I never leave dissatisfied.

I had such a fantastic experience with Amal. My hair looks healthier than it has in MONTHS! She is an artist with the cut and styling. She is also easy to talk to and made me feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment I met her. I second the review about her excellent head massage during the shampoo. Amal is amazing! She took my hair color and (!!) texture from awful to amazing in one visit!! It took a lot of time and commitment from her, but she did it. She does fantastic haircuts and styling too. I had moved out of town but back now and so happy! Aside from all of this, she is collaborative and flexible on appointment times when possible. She’s a sweetheart too. She has plenty of photos so definitely check her out!

Our entire family has been going to Amal for over 15 years and I always receive compliments on my hair. She gives the BEST head massage when washing your hair too. I began coloring my hair about 3 years ago and she does an amazing job at this as well...it looks so shiny and natural. She takes her time, is a perfectionist, and is just overall a great person. I dread the day she decides to stop doing hair!

I've been having Amal do my hair for over 4 years. Always listens to what you want. If you want a change she's there to direct you to the right shade of color or style. I've tried a few different ones and she always does a great job. She is willing to try and meet with you on a moments notice if she can for an appointment. I've been extremely happy with her and can't really see going anywhere else. Give her a try if you want a great hair stylist. Good location in North Raleigh
