I absolutely love Maddie—she is an amazing stylist, and I’ve been coming here for years because she always understands my vision and delivers. The rest of the staff is also consistently kind and professional. That said, I’m removing two stars for two reasons. First, the pricing has gotten out of control. I recently paid $300 for a haircut and color, when I used to pay around $150. With tip, that total comes out to around $360, which is a lot. What’s especially frustrating is that price increases aren’t clearly communicated. I’ve canceled future bookings because I’m unhappy with the direction the studio is going in terms of cost. If you choose to go here, be aware that it’s expensive and make sure to ask detailed questions about pricing beforehand. Second, during my last visit, an apprentice blow-dried my hair and caused significant breakage at the ends. I brought this to the staff’s attention, and while they listened, I didn’t feel that the situation was truly addressed or made right—it felt brushed off. If it weren’t for Maddie, I wouldn’t have returned this last time.

The caliber of stylists at Shep are superb. I had color done by Grace and a cut by Gracie. Their level of education is unparalleled, and their quality of service is unmatched. It is truly an elite salon with elite Stylist. I highly recommend best that I’ve ever had in Utah and I’ve been to all of them and I will never go anywhere else again.

I couldn’t recommend Shep Studio more!! The salon itself is strikingly beautiful. It is exceptionally clean, stylish, and has an unparalleled atmosphere. You can tell that a lot of thought and effort has been put into creating a space that is both curated and polished. The staff is exceptional! From the moment I walked through the doors, every face I met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. I booked with Gracie, and she was amazing! She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for. I left feeling refreshed, confident, and excited to come back. It truly is rare to find a place where both the atmosphere and staff are this amazing. I would absolutely recommend!

I love getting services done here!!! I am always greeted immediately and offered something to drink. All of the stylists seem very knowledgeable and I love Layla!! She is very professional truly cares about the health of your hair. Best place in Provo!!

Tatum did a great job with my cut and color! The highlights were just what I was wanting and I loved the fun, new hair cut! It’s about time for another trim, so I’ll have to reschedule with Tatum! She’s so easy to talk to and made the whole experience so fun! Can’t wait to be back in Tatum’s chair!

I had Tatum Perry do my hair a few weeks ago and it was the best experience ever! She is so fun to talk to while she does your hair! She made me feel so pretty and beautiful!! Loved my experience and I will be coming back!!

I needed a haircut last minute. I booked an appointment with Madison and she did a great job. I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve had to book with a stylist I haven’t seen before. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Add to my review… Gracie colored my hair and it looks great, so happy with the results. I went in knowing I wanted my gray covered and a subtle highlight. I wasn’t sure what color I wanted to highlight and she showed me some color swatches and explained what would look best. It was the best.
