I'm so happy this new hair salon just opened up in the Bay. I came in today for a haircut with Kenny and now no one else will be touching my hair besides him. For context, I usually only get my hair done once a year in Singapore where I get my usual digital perm and haircut. However, my hair was getting really heavy and long and I needed someone who was comfortable with Asian + digitally permed hair. Kenny was gentle with my hair and very meticulous. He listened to all my crazy nervous hair wants and also provided his expertise when I wasn't sure and overall, I'm over the moon with the result! I feel literally 10 pounds lighter. I got the haircut service which included: hair wash, cut, and blow dry/curl. Total= $68. The shop was pristine and very relaxing and there's a boba shop right across if you want to get a lil treat before or after your service. Please give this new salon a try if you are still searching high and low through Yelp/Google like I was!

Finally found someone who can do short hair perfectly! Pei (I hope I got her name right) is absolutely awesome. She understood exactly what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. So happy with the result. highly recommend!

Fantastic Hair Coloring Experience at Lokki Hair Salon! I recently visited Lokki Hair Salon and had my hair colored by Kenny. He did an amazing job, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The color turned out beautifully, and what impressed me most was that Kenny achieved it without needing to use bleach. My hair feels healthy, and the color is vibrant and exactly what I wanted. I recently visited Lokki Beauty Salon, and the experience was absolutely terrible. I had seen online recommendations that Kenny was an excellent stylist, so I made an appointment assuming that only Kenny would handle my haircut. The salon’s social media profile also used the name Kenny. However, when I arrived, no one at the front desk came to check me in, even though my appointment time had already passed. I had driven over 30 minutes to get there, expecting a professional experience, but when I explained that I wanted a short haircut, the person who ended up cutting my hair was not Kenny. Instead, it was an older man wearing a beanie, with visible tattoos on his arms and a mask that looked like it had been reused countless times. He coughed intermittently throughout the session, which made the entire experience feel incredibly unhygienic and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the hairdressing apron he gave me had someone else’s hair on it. When I asked why there was hair on the apron and if he could give me a clean one, he pretended not to understand and dismissed my concern, saying, "This is how it is." It was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Throughout the haircut, he was visibly impatient and made constant degrading comments about my hair, saying it was too thick, too stiff, and too wavy. I couldn’t understand why, as a paying customer, I had to endure such disrespectful and disgusting treatment. If I could give a negative rating, I absolutely would. After driving such a long distance, this appalling experience was far from what I expected based on the salon’s online reputation. It left me feeling physically nauseous and deeply disgusted, to the point where I now feel traumatized by the entire experience.

Kenny is an incredible hairstylist! He’s professional, patient, and always takes great care of my hair. I’ve been going to him for over a year, even when he was at a different salon, and I’ve never been disappointed. I highly recommend Kenny and this salon if you’re in town.

The salon is newly opened and everything is modern and clean. Before moving to Pleasanton, the owner has years of experience in San Mateo. I have to say that Kenny is so far the best stylist I ever had in Tri Valley area, he knows what to deal with Asian hairstyles. If you are looking for a professional hairstylist, this is the right place! Definitely recommend to my friends and family!
