i’ve been going to lauren for over a year now and she’s just the best! i always leave feeling my absolute best and she’s so kind and patient with my wants and needs. she also answers any questions i have about taking care of my curls, and the color normally lasts up to 9-10 weeks! also, very fair pricing.

Great salon, amazing stylists. I dye my hair with blues, & purples. Denise West does a phenomenal job! So much so that now my teen son is getting his hair colored by her as well!

I'm sure the work of the other stylists in this salon is fine and this review does not represent all of them. The stylist I used and others in the salon were friendly at the time of the visit. I sent my stylist photos ahead of time via email of my hair currently and example photos the hair I wanted from the visit. She said it was doable and I booked her. The stylist I used did not communicate to me that it would take several appointments to accomplish what I wanted, until halfway through my appointment (though other stylists I have talked to say that what I asked for was reasonable and easy to do in one go). She also asked me at the end of the appt if I wanted a haircut, even though when I scheduled the appt I clearly stated via email I needed one. The haircut was so minimal it is not noticably different. I also had to point out after the cut that the front right was visibly longer than the left and get her to even it out. When I left, my hair was basically one shade lighter all over. It looks fine for what it is, if that was what I had requested, but it isnt what I wanted at all. I am not embarrassed by it, but after paying $140 for an hour and a half of service, I feel like I should have recieved a noticable difference in my hair. I also discovered yesterday (because a friend was looking) that the back of my hair is cut crooked on the bottom layer and one side is longer than the other, so I will have to pay to get it fixed, both cut and color. When I contacted the stylist to let her know I was not happy with the visit, she recommended I purchase a purple shampoo to "make my hair look lighter", which I did, and saw no difference after using twice. The moral of this review is that this salon is populated by individuals, and does not have a manager to help address your concerns. If you have a problem, you will have to personally deal with the stylist and hope to god that they are willing to help. This is the first time I have ever complained about service from a hair stylist and I see now why people are wary of trying new places out. At this time the stylist has offered a partial refund or some highlights. Seeing as I do not want her to mess with my hair again, I opted for the refund but I have not heard from her since then, nor have I recieved the refund. Edit: 45 mins after this was posted I recieved my refund. I guess they pay attention.

I've followed Kim Harvel from different location to different location for over 30 years until she opened her own salon, Shear Savvy. She runs a wonderful salon and I highly recommend her salon!
