Primp and Blow Prairiefire

I had my appointment with Katie. I can in for a dry style and She did a great job with my hair. The only thing I would have liked is for her to use some volumizing spray or a root lifting spray to create some volume on the crown. Nothing was used to tame the frizz down either.

Love Primp and Blow. The experience is 100 times better than the DryBar in Prairie Village. The staff is nicer; the place is cleaner and most importantly the product Primp and Blow uses is 100 times better (Orbie) than the subpar products DryBar uses. You need to try this place next blowout. You won't regret it.

Chris was fantastic!! He did a wonderful job…very confident and professional and listened to exactly what I wanted. This was my first time at Primp and Blow. Will for sure go back!! Great service!

Um… I can’t really find the words. My daughters hair has never looked this beautiful! She can’t stop touching it and talking about it and looking in the mirror! What this did for her self confidence is 🤌. She HATED that she had curly hair. And now she FINALLY appreciates and loves her curls! She is excited to try to use the tips she got to make her curls look their best! Brushing hair is usually a traumatic event in my home! But the time and patience the stylist took to detangle each individual curl strand was so appreciated! My daughters hair went from stringy and frizzy to smooth and bouncy! It was the best money I’ve ever spent on beauty/self care and I’ll do it again and again! They have our business forever! Here are some before and afters! She even gave us tips on hair products they didn’t even sell there! And she pointed us in the direction of a salon that is trained in curly hair care and encouraged us to get her some layers to take some weight off of her curls to help them curl up and bounce even more! I can’t say enough about our experience! We don’t have the money to do things like this typically. My daughter has only been to a salon one other time at 4 years old and doesn’t remember it. But… today… this experience is one she will never forget! New traditions (mommy daughter days) are being made! Thank you so much Primp and Blow at Prairiefire!

Got my hair & makeup done here before my baby shower! I was blown away how good I felt. I’ve been having a difficult pregnancy and they made me feel brand new!! I got 20+ compliments on my hair! I can’t thank you guys enough for making me feel good on my special day!!

I got married on 09/28/24 and went to Primp and Blow Prairiefire for my hair and makeup. Everyone at Primp and blow is amazing when it comes to the front desk ladies, hair stylists, makeup artists, and the owner, Cherish. When I went in for a makeup trial that I absolutely loved, my makeup didn’t stay on as well with regular makeup if I were to cry/sweat, which was very important to me for my wedding day. Cherish then mentioned that I could come back in and they could try airbrush makeup on me because it is more waterproof, and I’m so glad I did! Chris did my hair for my wedding and it was absolutely perfect! Not to mention, my hair stayed in all night long and did not budge at all even tho I was on the dance floor most of the night. He is not only super talented with hair, but also makeup, he did my bridesmaid’s makeup, and she loved it and looked absolutely beautiful! Mesa did my airbrush makeup and I loved it so much! I gave her a vision, and she turned it into a makeup look that I thought was so beautiful! I cried a lot at my Ceremony and my makeup didn’t budge, I didn’t have to do one touch up all night. She did my mom’s makeup as well and it turned out so pretty! I got SO many compliments on my hair and makeup before I left the salon, and on my wedding day. Chris and Mesa made me feel like a real life princess and their talents blow me away, they are also so incredibly kind. Thank you so much Chris and Mesa, and all of the amazing Primp and Blow staff🥺❤️ I know who to go to for any future events/photoshoots. Btw, the photo of me and my husband was my makeup after the Ceremony, and it still looked perf. 10/10 recommend!!!!! God bless!🙏

I am new to the Leawood area. I went here for a blowout and I wasn’t impressed. The stylists that weren’t working stood around talking. They put their dirty shoes in the white chairs. One stylist stood against the station and propped his foot in chair. The other sat Indian style in seat with dirty shoes in chair. I don’t want to sit in chairs with dirty feet. Had to listen to their gossiping the entire time while just wanting relaxing blowout. Stylist picked clip off of floor and kept using it in my hair. I wasn’t thrilled with entire experience and I doubt I’ll go back. This place was recommended by my neighbor. It also wasn’t best blowout. I wanted hair round brushed and still had frizz.
