Ryan worked a miracle, and I am so happy when I look in the mirror. My hair was in desperate need of some love. Ryan completely REVIVED it!! My roots were very grown out and I had blonde on the bottom half. Ryan was able to blend my hair so well you can’t even tell it was half and half two colors when I first came in. I am obsessed with my new hair, wish I would have came in sooner! Sometimes life flies by and you realize your hair has been long forgotten. Ryan to the rescue! Highly recommend Ryan for all your hair needs 🙌🏻
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough good things about Xander at Mosaic Salon in the Milk District. He did an amazing job transitioning me from platinum blonde to a softer blonde with a beautiful shadow root and creamy blonde highlights—it looks natural, polished, and exactly what I was hoping for. He’s also been fantastic at helping me keep my pixie cut looking intentional and flattering while it grows out (which is no small feat!). Xander truly listens, explains the process, and has an incredible eye for what works for your hair and lifestyle. I also want to give a special shout-out to his assistant, Cherie. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and attentive, and made the entire experience even better. The whole team made me feel comfortable and well cared for from start to finish. I always leave feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend!
I've been going here for years. Even as a man, this place is awesome. Brianna and her assistants Jordan and Paige are nothing short of magical, and they're lovely to talk to throughout the haircut. Drinks being included and a modern building are just the cherry on top. It's not as cheap as worse places, but I really have to emphasize the "worse" there because I don't think there's anywhere better in Orlando. Worth the price and then some, it's so relaxing. Go here!
On Wednesday morning, I visited The Mosaic Chair Studio in the Milk District and loved every second. From the warm welcome to having coffee in my hands right away, the experience felt so thoughtful and inviting. My stylist, Alejandra C., did an amazing job on my base color, toner, and haircut, adding layers that made my hair flow beautifully. Her gentle touch during my root retouch and hair wash was incredibly relaxing. The studio is clean, welcoming, and filled with beautiful art—perfect midweek pampering!
This is not a safe place for people of color. I'm used to racist comments directed at me, but never in a place where I'm supposed to entrust something as important as my hair. I went in for a simple hair coloring consultation (for the record, I'm a Latina woman with brown hair) and was hoping to go blonde. Of course, I'm always open to hearing the stylist's recommendations, as they are the professionals, but ultimately, the client has the final say. As soon as I sat down, the stylist didn't seem very enthusiastic about helping me, she sighed and got straight to the point without any greeting or introduction. I overlooked it because I understand they might be tired or having a bad day. I showed her some reference photos, and after telling her what I wanted, she refused to dye my entire hair blonde because she assumed I wouldn't commit or didn't have enough money, which was surprising since I never mentioned having a limited budget; all I care about is getting a good color job. Then she told me I needed to stop using drugstore hair products and switch to a more expensive brand, which honestly made me laugh, as she mentioned the same shampoo brand I already use. I wonder what made her think I couldn't afford something as insignificant as a $30 Olaplex shampoo. As I continued to listen to all the microaggressions she was throwing at me, I politely asked her how this new recommendation would look compared to what I had already asked for, only to hear the most blatant racist response I could’ve never even imagined. She bluntly told me she didn't know because I wasn't white, and that my skin tone and eye color were different from the light-skinned girls I was showing her; most of the pictures I showed her were of girls with their backs to the camera. Unfortunately, these are situations where you can't react quickly enough to simply get up and leave, because you think you might be misinterpreting the situation. But after sitting in silence in my car for a while, I realized what had just happened. What a horrible interaction, especially in this political climate; not even being able to feel comfortable in a hair salon is shameful. This is a beauty salon predominantly frequented by white people, so I guess it is partly my fault for thinking I was getting any different treatment. This is the second location I visit from this same business, never again.
Ive been going to this salon for roughly 5 years. The experiences are always great. Staff is always very warm and welcoming and the salon itself is beautiful. I worked with Selah for the first time today. She exceeded my expectations with both the color and cut. I got a mini highlight and shag cut, and I have not had professionally highlighted hair in a few years. She went above and beyond to make it look perfect. Highly recommend checking this place out. While you’re there, check out their mini shrimp and fish tank!!
Came in with hair that hasn’t been cut in 3-4 years and I asked for a very layered butterfly cut. Xander was extremely detailed oriented with my haircut! He took his time which calmed my nerves down since I’ve never had anything but a simple haircut done. The haircut turned out beautiful! His apprentice did wonderful as well going above and beyond with my blowout! Will see Xander again soon for maintenance!
