Sean has been doing my hair for well over 25 years. He's the best. I started with him at velvet monkey, I went with him on his other journey and then back to velvet monkey!! He's the absolute best and I love him. Also, the young lady that threads my eyebrows is amazing!!! I just can't remember her name!! I'm old! Also, I think Estrella has built an amazing business! I love her!!

I got my hair dyed by David and I absolutely lovw it! He was able to match my old color perfectly and add the dimensions I wanted. He also did a face framing haircut on me a couple months ago that has been game changing for my curly hair. Love it!

I had long thick hair down my back and I was looking for a butterfly cut. I went in to see Mavis and told her I didn't like bangs. My hair has a lot of volume and I didn't want anything short bc I prefer low maintenance hair. Mavis suggested I lose 4 inches because my hair was so damaged. I trim my hair every other month and don't color it but I could afford to lose 4 inches bc my hair was very long. I trusted her professional opinion. She clipped the back up and came to the front and snipped my bang front right off into my eyes. Then she blow dryer my hair and I saw the complete disaster of her work. My hair was CHOPPED! I let her know off the bat that the bangs were a complete disappointment bc I specifically told her bangs are not my thing. She approached my hair as if she didn't know what to do and after trusting her and ending up chopped I quickly requested a new stylist. That's when the poking in my face began. Both stylist tried to protect Mavis reassuring me the hack job was fixable and she's really a good stylist. They shuffled my hair violently poking my forehead (almost my eyeball) my cheeks and chin with force. The other stylist evened my hair out. Then she styled it as a favor bc apparently they only cut hair, they don't style hair. That's what I was told. Anyway, my hair looks like shit and I have bangs to deal with now. The days of waking up out of bed and going about my day are on pause as my bangs stick straight up and out until styled. They still fall in my face. My hair resembles nothing close to a butterfly cut. It's just chopped and high maintenance, everything I didn't want. Mavis definitely needs to listen to her clients. Go slow, you can quickly cut hair but it takes time to grow it out. I'll never go back to this establishment.

Felt like I was the brunt of a private joke or something. Was told that the style I wanted. Was possible, drove 45 minutes to the appointment and the stylist says nope that’s not possible. I wanted a creative undercut. When I got home I was so mad I shaved my whole head. I then looked up the stylist and saw her prior work and she certainly could do very creative work. I don’t know why I was treated differently I had a lot of money to spend on a creative style so they only cheated themselves. As for creativity I had to go somewhere else but I have seen a lot of creative work come out of this place I guess I wasn’t worthy of that. Wouldn’t even recommend me a product from the salon smh 🤦‍♀️

Let me tell you 100% recommend my girl cassi😁she always been my go to when I found out she left the last place she was at I was sad. After 2 months I seen some one mentioned she moved her and let me tell you best decision she's made🤌 the ladies here are so sweet🫶cassi did amazing and she took her time and also she was very patient ❤️ I will never go to any one else ever since I met her a couple years ago I've gone to her I've tried other people but they just don't do it like her🫶she's so sweet and she will make sure you leave satisfied🤌 The ladies up here are also sweet🫶 I see the interaction they have with there clients and its like family❤️ Will be returning and recommending to family and friends😁

Mavis did a great job executing what I wanted while keeping me up to date the whole time. Super friendly staff and lovely work.

Saw Beth to get my Mohawk re-shaved and get my hair cut shorter, she did amazing! I’m very happy with her work.
