Hi Lights Salon/Barber

It is so hard to find a good hair person. We have finally found our new place! Friendly atmosphere, nice people. I set up an appointment with Stacy Mathew’s, for my 13 yr old grandson to get a perm and cut. She did a great job. My grandson was very happy and excited about his new look. He said this is the best cut and perm he has ever had, and he has had a lot. I have to agree with him for sure. She was super cool too. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed !

After a basic haircut high & tight, I went home and my wife said I like look I have a bowl hair cut with side burns uneven. So we went back and pointed it out to him he acknowledged and persists to blend but look like he was struggling with the right side. He blended the back but didnt cut it eve. I guess he parted it to the right so my left side didn't show it wasn't blended. After coming home I combed it back to the left and "Boom" still have a line where its not blended and the back of my hair was not even, so my wife cut the back even. Hes a nice guy but needs remedial training or something. I'm not going back the second to have it corrected, because I dont want to shame him and I dont trust his skills.

I went to this salon to get my hair colored and trimmed. Instead I got a color and highlights that were recommended by Julie because she insisted that was the only way I was going to get the color I wanted. I trusted her professional opinion because I thought she knew what she was doing. I was going for a copper red instead I got something brownish and orange highlights. The cut was choppy and the blow dry with flatirons was just frizzy. I tried speaking with her to get a refund and she refused and threatened to call the authorities on me. As you can see in the photos what I wanted and what I got done looks nothing alike.

I went in for a beard trim but, my regular barber wasn't there. I was told that another person could do it and that they were good at beards. Long story short, this person was not. I specifically told them NOT to cut any length. They cut off an inch, needles to say i was upset. They also thinned out the sided to much and to low. I didn't notice all this until i had left and took a closer look in my mirror. I went back immediately and the person tried to fix it but, only made it worse. Luckily, my usual barber had just showed up. He wad able to salvage what was left of my beard. Im not really here to bash on the person but just want to say, if you dont know how to trim beards, dont try on a client. The person even charged me $30 which is more than my regular guy and i tipped $10!!! None of which was even offered back. So men, if you go here for a beard trim, definitely use the barber that has the chair in the far back. He is FANTASTIC!!!
