Wendell's Hair Design

My hair came out looking good and the stylist worked very hard to get it that way, so I have no serious complaints about that. The only two small quibbles I have are: (1) I asked only to have my roots covered, but the stylist insisted on doing all of my my hair, and I have a LOT of hair. (2) I could tell while the stylist was washing my hair that she wasn't digging in with her fingers (I have very thick hair) but was only rubbing her hands over the surface. I wondered how she could possibly get all the color out like that, but I assumed that surely she knew how to wash hair so I didn't worry too much about it. Unfortunately, by the time I got home I realized that my hair was still so full of color that it had gummy clumps of stuff all through it and I had to fully wash it when I got home. (To be clear, by my own request I left the salon with wet hair as I don't like using any sort of heat on my hair, even so much as a blow dryer. I only ever let it air dry. The wetness made it hard to tell how gummy it was.) My only real complaint is that it took SO. LONG. I'm used to being in and out (with the exact same work done, including coloring all of my hair) in maybe 75 minutes to 90 minutes maximum, but I was in Wendell's for over three hours. I was exhausted by the time I left, and I'm sure the stylist was too. My stylist was very polite and worked hard, but was pretty inexperienced and it showed. I think she'd be great with an easier head of hair, and that she'll get better with experience, but she just wasn't quite up to what I needed on this particular day.

Had a great experience with Mary Ann! She fixed my hair from a prior hair disaster. She took her time and made sure I was happy with my hair before I left. Very satisfied and highly recommend.!

Definitely recommend Mary Ann!!! It has been a while since I had gone to a hair salon and was really in need to distract myself and honestly someone to talk to, we had never met each other but we talk about so many things it was like therapy & not to mention how awesome she left my hair. She also had a flight to catch & did not let me walk out til it was perfect need more hairdressers like that not into it foe the money! Thank you Maryann!! 😉😊
