Hak Soo from KSY Reseda is amazing! (Hope I spelled his name right.) He transformed my weighed down, frumpy hair with grown out highlights and roots back to life again with minimal work needed... He is quick and is a perfectionist! You can tell he takes pride in his work and you're not just another person in his chair. I showed him an inspo photo of what I wanted, and he made sure to cater that to fit my features. I'm in love with my hair! Will be a regular with him from now on... and referring family and friends for hair needs to him. His pricing is a lot more reasonable than stylists at KSY-LA as well which is a big plus! Thank you for your talent!!!

I would never go anywhere else for my haircut but here! Im so grateful for Mr Kim! He is the only hair stylist who knows what i want. He just gets it, even without me explaining the style that i want he really knows whats best for your hair! He is very professional and he takes his time to give you the best results. Ive been going to him for many years, but at some time i went somewhere thats closer to where i live just for hair color and the hair stylist there even mentioned that who ever did my haircut is really good! THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. KIM🙏🏼 Its very hard to find the right hairstylist thats why im so grateful for you!

I’ve been searching for a reliable hair salon ever since I moved to Northridge, and I’m so happy I stumbled upon Kim Sun Young. Often times after a haircut I would feel a little self conscious or uneasy. This was not the case at Kim Sun Young. For the first time in a long time, I really felt confident about my hair and that I had actually received a great haircut. The hair stylist who helped was Rose Mary. She was awesome! I came on a Friday afternoon and didn’t even have to wait 5 minutes. This was my first time here and I’m so glad that Rose Mary helped me out. I feel as if she really understood what I wanted and I’m extremely satisfied with her work. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back and look forward to coming again soon!

Great cuts from the guy owner but be prepared to wait even after appointments. They do not respect the time you pick, so on busy days be prepared to wait anywhere from 30-45 min after your appointment time. Pricing is good. Normal haircut $35 as of men’s 2025. Parking is good too.

The lady who cut my hair was really nice and gave me good advice. Even gave me a student discount. Great place for people who need specialist in cutting Korean/Asian people's hair!

Been here once and never come back. I understand and super respectful with the store/the lady doesnt know english, but the attitude toward the customer is unacceptable. Had my men haircut for just 10 minutes. She barely try to communicate with me regarding how would I want my hair to look like. The lady who I believe her name was Susan, showed attitudes from when I walked into the store to after I left. Will never come back. The haircut was $35, and i dont recommend anyone to come here. Go to other locations of Kim Sun Young.

Curly and frizzy to straight and shiny! Chloe did a beautiful job transforming my hair. She was kind, professional, and clearly knows what she’s doing👍 I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone skilled in hair straightening💇🏻‍♀️
