I have been going to Red Chair Studio for about a decade to get haircuts with the owner Uri. I stumbled upon it when I moved to the UES years ago - I appreciated the affordable prices & Uri’s story (he was offering to cut kids hair on the playground when he was little!) As a news reporter with a crazy work schedule, he has been flexible with taking me last minute or squeezing me in for a different appt. time over the years. He does a great job, is so welcoming & caring each time! I moved out of the UES during covid but continue to come back. Thank you Uri & Red Chair team!

I have been so happy with Red Chair Studio. URI has cut or trimmed my hair for over a decade. It really knows how to handle thick, curly hair. But I’ve also seen stunning results with others either different hair textures. The prices are reasonable, especially for the Upper Eastside. And there’s a level of comfort and friendliness that is ever present.

We have been coming to red chair studio since we’ve moved to the neighborhood. Everyone is so happy and friendly. Uri, has been cutting for my daughter and I and we have always had a great time and experience. He’s always so friendly and professional. We always walk out very happy with our cuts and styles! It’s been incredible for us. And easy it being so close in the neighborhood. Would recommend !

My husband recommended Red Chair studio to me a couple of years ago. I have naturally brown colored hair and Uri did a phenomenal job giving me beautiful caramel highlights that I have wanted for a while. My haircut was also excellent. It is a clean place with a friendly staff, fun environment and very easy-going, and they don’t try to sell you things that you don’t need like some of the other salons I’ve been to before. I highly recommend Red Chair and I’ve been going back regularly ever since.

Was really in need of a haircut and overall refresh. Walked in and was able to make a same day appointment with Lana. She was so attentive and sweet. Listened to what I wanted and offered her expertise. Haircut is great and I feel so good after cutting off 3 inches. Hair is healthy looking. Salon is so clean and everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable and service is top notch. Definitely recommend to anyone.

I visited Red Chair for the first time today and was assigned Natasha. She took so much time and caring to give me the short cut we discussed and I'm very happy with the result. Both Natasha and the other stylist (don't know her name) were so welcoming and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I had read about this Salon years ago and made a note of the name to visit at some point and followed-up after reading the excellent reviews they receive. I'm very happy with my first visit today and will return.
