This was my first time at this salon. I am really glad I found this place! Mina cut my hair and she did a great job. I have thick asian hair and my haircuts are often very long. She was able to finish within one hour without cutting any corners. She gave me exactly what I wanted! I highly recommend!

It was my first time at Hayato. Although it looked a bit dated, the service was exactly what I was looking for. Great shampoo experience and Mina my hairdresser was a super Japanese stylist. She listened to what you wanted and then offered her opinion. Highly recommend for a true New York Japanese hair salon. Thank you!

As always Tatsumi(Tim) was amazing cutting my hair. I go back to him from last year and everytime Im so happy. every detail of cutting hair is a masterpiece. He’s the best professional. Thank you Tatsumi and Hayato team. also administrator Lady is very sweet.

Daichi was amazing!!! Treated myself to a scalp treatment and blow out for my birthday and it did not disappoint! It was amazing seeing all the build up on my scalp and then how fresh and clean it was after. He was so thorough and the whole treatment felt extremely relaxing. Can’t wait to go back for more hair care!

After doing some research, I have finally gave in and tried the famous Japanese Scalp Treatment and I am grateful I tried it with Hayato NY! The staff was attentive and welcoming and the space was full of hardworking people whilst maintaining a quiet, peaceful ambiance; that I rarely see in most salons. I had the pleasure of having Daichi work with my hair. We had a thorough assessment of my scalp and my history, and he explained the step by step process, the products that he will use and what to expect/feel once they were applied. The execution was full of professional, caring and executed with skilful techniques. Another assessment of my scalp was done post treatment and the results were amazing. It made me realize how neglected my scalp and hair was before. I also appreciated tips for aftercare that I can do at home so that I can continue and maintain a good hair and scalp care from now on. This is my go-to hair salon. As a guy with weird curly hair, this is the only salon I went to that I genuinely loved my haircut afterwards which makes me comeback even if I just need a quick trim. The staff is amazing and made me feel genuinely cared for. From the hair shampoo, quick back massage, and the awesome haircut, everything was perfect. Would highly recommend to everyone.

I had a great experience at Hayato! The most relaxing head spa experience with Daichi. I kept falling asleep and my scalp and hair was so clean after! Definitely recommend.
