I’m sharing my experience with Stephanie at Simple Beauty Hair Salon in Nampa, Idaho, regarding hair extension maintenance and reinstallation. My extensions were originally installed by another stylist from the Portland, Oregon area on October 11, 2025. The hair stylist professional used extension hair that my daughter had bought and had professionally installed and then removed because she went from Sewed in hair to taped in hair. The hair extensions were in excellent condition and matched my hair color. After some small lifting on one the left side while traveling, I reached out to Stephanie to see if she would want to fix it. Stephanie got me in on October 18th to fix the weft on the left side that had started to lift up and come undone. Then shortly after this, I reached back out to her to ask if she could fix a weft on the right side that started to lift up. Stephanie got me in for an appointment with her on November 13, and she secured it. She explained her extension method was different as she uses thinner thread and has a different sewing technique and offered to continue maintaining my extensions. I accepted her offer as she seemed to be a Professional Extension installer. I returned on November 17, 2025, due to additional wefts loosening, which she fixed and assured me that they should last 6–8 weeks until the time to move them up from hair growth. On December 5, I went in to see her. She completely removed the extensions, highlighted my hair, and reinstalled everything using her sew in method. Unfortunately, by December 8, one entire weft separated from the beads and fell off. I was out of state for my granddaughter's surgery, so I had to clip the wedge into my hair until I could get back into her, upon my return to Nampa. When I returned, I went back to Stephanie on December 16 to re-install the weft that came completely off and fix many others that had begun to come unsewn. Sadly, the appointment was uncomfortable. Before examining my hair, she said she’d refer me elsewhere, and stated, she’d never had issues like this with other clients, and implied the problem was something I was doing or related to highlighting of my hair for sometime. She said she would fix it that day but told me I’d need to purchase different extensions if I wanted her to continue working on my hair. I followed the link she sent me and purchased the hair extensions she recommended (nearly $200). Less than two days after I was at the salon with her to get the wefts re-secured, the extensions began lifting again and the thread pulled away from the beads on one side. I messaged her to let her know the new hair was ordered and asked when I could come in for installation of the hair she recommended. I sent her pictures of my hair extensions coming apart at the sewn-in-to-the-beads area to ask her what she thinks might be going on. She never replied and she completely ghosted me from the last appointment. Because of the holidays, getting into another stylist any time soon to fix the Extensions was not possible, so I had to remove the extensions myself. This was very difficult and took several hours. I was also left with New Hair Extensions that I was told to buy, that still needed to be installed. I understand extension work can be complex, but at the end of the day, clearer communication and follow-through would have made a big difference. I tipped her well and paid her every dime she asked of me. I listen to all of her advice of how to take care of my extensions and even purchased the things she suggested, including a silk Hair scarf to sleep in at night and a special brush to be gentler on the hair extensions. I'm greatly disappointed in her ghosting me. I feel like if she did not want to do my hair at all after the 16th of December, she should not have asked me to purchase new hair and lead me on to think that she was going to continue to do my hair, once I was using the different hair extensions she recommended. I do not feel her behavior was professional at all.

I have gone to Kendra for years for my hair color and style! She is amazing and gives great insight! She does a fantastic job and is very relatable. She has great quality in her facility and the people she decides to have in her salon for the salon and for other services such as nails, facials, and waxing.

I did a really bad thing and cut my own hair. It turned out awful! My regular hair dresser couldn't fit me so I went searching for someone to fix it. Most of us know how it can feel to have a bad do, but trusting someone new to fix it on the fly can also be stressful. I got in with Faith, at the works salon, but was still uneasy. She put me right at ease and I could tell just from what she was saying she knew what she was doing. She didnt rush me and we talked it through and we came up with the best way to cut my hair that I would not have to cut off too much. I could not be more happy with my cut, and she even put cute waves in it. The atmosphere of the salon was also very pleasant and comfortable. I will be going to faith from now on. Thanks so much!

I'm a new customer. I'm not a salon kind at all and feel uncomfortable when in one usually. I felt very comfortable here. My hair stylist Felicia was cool and nice and gave me a haircut and color I am in love with!!! Thank you very much!!!

The works salon or "simple beauty" is a small and friendly place that still charges a very fair amount. The prices alone make me want to go back but the kind service was the cherry on top.
