Ann Chen Hair Station

Ann was very nice and engaged during my appointment. My hair fell very flat and choppily before and she created layers that made it lay so much nicer! I have some hearing problems and struggle to understand stylists in loud salons often, but Ann was patient and said things as many times as I needed to understand. I will definitely return for my next trim!

This was my second year coming here for party hair and make up, and I loved the result!! I got so many compliments on my hair. Would definitely recommend if you have an event you want to look fabulous for 🙂

I was happy with my bob style haircut. She was so detailed and really listened to what I wanted. The was reasonable compared to others in the neighborhood. Recommended!

Ann is very sweet, welcoming, and is happy to accommodate last minute appointments. While you know exactly what to expect with products you purchase online or in-store, it’s not really the same with hair stylists. Low rated reviews aren’t necessarily negative and instead depict how well the customer enjoyed/agreed with the stylist. You research reviews in order to maximize your experience by understanding similar people’s experiences. The overall rating represents how well the stylist fits with the general population. Although I really enjoyed speaking with Ann and appreciate how sweet she was, I didn’t really agree with her styling and this needs to be reflected in the overall rating. Pros: - very relaxing hair washing. she took her time, made multiple runs, and even used conditioner! this isn’t too common. - seems very meticulous with what she’s doing - very sweet lady and very patient with small talk even though her english isn’t the best Cons: - gets hair _everywhere_. She doesn’t bother to brush off some hair between runs and had piles of hair all over my face. By the time she took off the cover to get my hair washed, all the hair fell in my shirt and so much hair accumulated on my nose and eyes that i couldn’t open my eyes. Then she asked me to walk over to get my hair washed. Usually a stylist would at least use a hair dryer, soft brush, or soft dry sponge to wipe the hair off my face… but I had to explicitly ask for a towel. - her scissors were dull and constantly tugged on my hair. I’m pretty sure this damaged/frizzed some of my hair which contributed to the "fuzzball" look.

she botched my hair cut now it looks like a splotchy mess bc she just started cutting in different lengths and layers. She cut several inches off even though I said I only wanted the ends cut. She didn't even cut the style to match my face. SKIP OR SPEND THE extra money for a decent hair stylist who knows what they're doing. She basically gave me a mullet (lol) and randomly thinned out my hair all over my head. It's unstyleable. It was $65 bucks for the haircut, shampooing costs extra. I just paid the $65 and didn't even bother tipping. I asked for bangs, she just snipped them and didn't try to frame them around my face. Just overall a subpar / poor experience

My husband gets his hair cut with Ann and always comes out looking amazing. He pays $65 for a men's cut with a tip so it isn't too unreasonable especially considering it's Mountain View. They have online appointment scheduling on their website for those of us that would prefer to not talk to other people whenever possible.

Bonnie knows what style fits you the best! She was the artist in my friend’s wedding and she did make up and hair for the bride and all bridesmaids and she’s great!!! I came to the store for the haircut yesterday and i love it. It’s better than I expect. Thank you Bonnie! I will come more often and introduce my friends as well! ^.^....
