I went in and needed to fix up my damaged postpartum hair. I had Lonnie and honestly, so grateful for her because she made this Mama feel so beautiful, really walked me through what was going on and asked my input every step of the way. I was so grateful for her tips and tricks to help my hair be healthier and look fuller. Thanks for giving me a refresh and making me feel a bit like myself again!

Emma did such a great job cutting and styling my hair! I had a terrible DIY haircut and she saved the day! River City Hair is a lovely and affordable salon. The interior is very cute and the owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

So Happy that Rachelle is now a part of the team here now. After years of doing my own hack job hair cuts post covid on my long hair, I was ready for a typical Stylist down-talking we have all experienced at a salon at some point. I finally went in to get it evened out, and Rachelle couldn't have been more kind and supportive! She helped undo years of dread done by being "scolded" by well-meaning stylists with one visit to her chair. I won't go to anyone else but her now. I got a ton on compliemnts on my cut as well. 🙂

I have been going to River City for 5 or maybe more years. I have never had a bad service from any of their stylists and the receptionist is always helpful and polite. I normally get a dye, cut, and eyebrows waxed and they have always double checked before doing anything. Maddie is my go to girl she’s sweet and talented!

I’ve waited almost 5 years to post this review because I didn’t want to step on a business when they were down (as it was during the pandemic) but someone I know recently went here and had a terrible cut so now something has to be said. In September 2020 I had an appointment with the owner. I even had a consult with her a few weeks before and we went over my goals and my inspiration pics. I spent about 2 years growing it out and to spend $ on a haircut during the pandemic was a big deal. One thing I said was DO NOT GIVE ME A KAREN CUT. No stacking layers in the back, no A-line cuts, just a soft blunt bob. $75 later I got a Karen cut with terribly choppy stacked layers and A- Line sides. When I expressed my displeasure and disappointment she literally just took the scissor and cut the Long front ends straight across. I went to my car and just cried in the parking lot for the next hour.

Had a wonderful experience getting my hair colored by Dana! She really listened to what I wanted and it came out better than I imagined it could. It was my first time dying my hair so I was nervous but Dana gave me lots of options and advice. It looks really natural, I’m blown away by it! Thank you Dana!!

Worst experience, service, and cut of MY LIFE. I went in to get my hair done for my birthday and I wanted something new. My hair was getting boring. So I wanted to do bangs and face framing (which I’ve had before and it looked good) but when I told her I wanted Bardot inspired bangs, and face framing, plus showed her my reference pics and a video of a girl explaining how she cut her hair, the woman said what are Bardot bangs? Like curtain bangs? (I should’ve walked out then but I gave her benefit of the doubt that she knew about cutting hair and I didn’t; again a mistake) when she was finished my hair was DESTROYED. Completely chopped to hell! And I cried for two days. I didnt want to leave the house. I didn’t want to be seen at all. I tried to like the cut, tried to get used to it, but I could barely look in the mirror because of how horrible the cut made my face shape look, and the cut itself looked. I tried multiple times to get ahold of the owner to talk to her about remedying the situation; but she REFUSES to talk to me. I’m so utterly disgusted and depressed about how ugly my hair is and the way it makes my face look and the way the owner has treated the situation. I feel cheated, and completely un valued as a customer. They told me I could go back to get my hair fixed but I had TWO woman work on my hair that day and they only made it worse. I even had the other stylist look at my reference pics and say what do you like about it? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! I finally broke down after the owner wouldn’t get ahold of me and went to another stylist with 20yrs of experience to see if she could fix it and even the new stylist asked who ruined my hair, and told me she couldn’t do much to fix my hair, because of how bad it was. Even with her making it look less like a kid took scissors to a Barbie; I still can barely stand it. The pics show my hair before, what it looked like after, and my reference pics/persons video
