The Curl Co.

It was time. On a recent trip, two different women complimented our "daughter's" curls, despite our two-year-old son wearing only gray, black and camo. It was also a bit of work every morning wetting and combing his hair and nap time or a car ride resulted in a matted back. I am related to Hannah so I may be a bit biased, so to make this helpful I'll just relay the facts. When we arrived at the salon, we were happy to have assigned parking in downtown Minneapolis. A helpful text let us know the spot number and door code. Hannah had a riser and a kid's cape to help make him comfortable. She gave him some clips to hold to distract him, asked him questions and explained some of what she was doing. When he got apprehensive, she was empathetic and reassuring. We were able to keep his hands off his ears by feeding him snacks nonstop. Toddlers, am I right? Hannah was thorough and gentle, revisiting an area of his head if she needed to trim more and redirecting him if his hands got too close to the scissors. She cut it dry and the actual hair cutting time took about ten minutes. She took my input and also gave some professional recommendations on shape. She opted out of doing a clipper cut, because she said younger kids can get a bit scared of that, plus the scissors gave us the shaped, but still curly look we wanted. She wet and styled his hair at the end so we had a good idea of the shape already. She asked if I was interested in styling products and when I said we were good, it was left at that. I know I can always go back and ask her for recommendations. She checked with me on whether he could have sugar before offering him a lollipop at the end of the cut. The first photo was his hair before the cut and the last three are the ones after. He retains his youthful charm, but it is MUCH more manageable. In fact, in the last two photos, I hadn't styled his hair that morning and yet he doesn't look like a mad scientist. Success!

Finally after years and years of going to a traditional saloon, I tried a Curly Haircut experience. The difference was night and day. Hannah was so incredibly helpful and answered so many of my burning questions. I left the saloon for the first time in years, proud of my curls and not waiting to wash out what they did! Will be returning!

Hannah has done my hair for years! She has always been very kind and educated on all things curly hair. She does amazing on recommending hair products even if she doesn't carry them. She is the only one I will ever trust with my hair!

So thrilled with my latest cut, it was major!! I’m getting so many compliments, people telling me not only that it looks great but that I look younger, vibrant, or that it’s inspiring them to get fresh cuts themselves! I’m so happy I found the Curl Co several years ago, Hannah always listens also well and understands my goals and gives me great results that last. I live hours away and get cuts infrequently and hers always grow out beautifully. During my first pregnancy my curl pattern relaxed and created several inches of straighter hair as it grew out after giving birth. Hannah was so diligent in making the best cuts to showcase the remaining curls, and recently it was time to try to cut a long amount off and try to get rid of the straight section… nearly a foot of length in places! I was nervous and hesitant and Hannah went out of her way to make sure we had good understanding and a shared vision and plan. It turned out so well and felt so good and refreshing, no regrets! She managed to keep it looking and feeling like long curls but fresh and healthy and full and a little sassy, perfect! Now that I’m pregnant again I have no fears of repeating the process, I know Hannah will help me keep feeling great and beautiful during and after this pregnancy too. Thank you so much Hannah!

Highly recommend Hannah! My hair was dead before I came in, but she revived it. Me as a dude, I don't know what the heck I'm suppose to do when it comes to my hair. With that being said she educated me extensively on what I should be doing, and what products would best suit my hair. I had my first appointment with Hannah today, and it will not be the last. Not only did she give me a great cut and style, she taught me which products to use and how to use them at home. My hair has never looked this good! I also really enjoyed getting to know Hannah. She knows what she's doing (her own gorgeous curls are proof!), and she's easy to talk to. Update: I've been seeing Hannah 1-2 times a year for about seven years now, and I recommend her to every curly I know. She's so good at what she does, and she's so easy to talk to. And I take my daughter to see her now too. She did a great job making her first haircut fun and not scary.

Hannah is amazing! I was dealing with thinning hair and curls that seemed to have given up on life, but she brought my hair back. My curls look so alive and defined now that my wife literally said, "Wow!" when she saw me. Not only that, but she took the time to educate me on how to care for my curls going forward. Truly a wonderful experience.
