MN NAF! Salon

I had an excellent balayage service in February 2025 that left me eager to return. I booked a second balayage for November 25th with a new stylist who was kind, still learning, and open to feedback. However, my second balayage did not turn out as expected. The finished look was noticeably different from the gradual, blended style I loved before—more like full foils with a clear, two-inch line from the scalp and an overall unnatural pattern. I provided a reference photo, but by the end of the long appointment I was tired, and the salon lighting made the color look acceptable. The next day, it was clear the result wasn’t what I wanted. I returned home for Thanksgiving and reached out immediately after. I contacted the salon before the end of the seven-day policy (despite Thanksgiving week) because the color did not match my expectations. I felt unheard during the consultation about the needed correction. The owner proposed that I pay full price to fix the color, which was later reduced to paying only for product costs. After paying over $300 for the original color and a haircut, and not receiving the color shown in the photo, I was disappointed with the outcome and how the situation was handled. I understand staff are learning, but I didn’t feel supported by the owner. This is further complicated by the fact I raised the issue within the allotted time and was still charged for a correction. I reviewed the salon’s written policy, which I understood to be: "We always offer corrections but they must be brought to us within one week of the service." This policy was not upheld in my case, despite my proactive effort to follow it. Overall, I hope the salon takes feedback seriously and revisits how service issues and policy promises are communicated and resolved.

Ella always does an AMAZING job with my hair. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and can answer any questions you may have. She takes great care of you, and is great to talk to as well. You’ll have perfect hair and a wonderful time when you work with Ella.

First time with a new stylist for a while! I usually cut my hair myself (I can be picky about who cuts my hair) I booked with Sam Rose and when I showed up she was unfortunately sick that day. Luckily Luci was willing to do my haircut! I felt like she really listened to what I said I wanted and referenced photos I showed her at the beginning through out the haircut. She did an amazing job on my hair and I found someone I’m happy to return to!

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing "new" Jessica for a few years now. She gave me the most gorgeous updo for my wedding in 2021, and has been a part of my hair journey since then, including perms, red/purple hair, shaggy wavy cuts….all the things! Not to mention she is bursting with energy and enthusiasm – it always lifts my spirits! I followed her to MN NAF and we recently did a mermaid colored look. She continues to kill it in every way and I’m so happy to support this business that cares about their staff, the community, and their clients!

In July I came in for an all over bleach. I had several inches of dark regrowth and Nyah did a fantastic job and was very attentive to matching the existing blonde tone. They are very professional and engage in friendly conversation or working quietly, whichever you prefer. I just scheduled my next bleach with Nyah and am looking forward to the experience.

I had a haircut with Nyah today and she did an AMAZING job. I have short, curly hair and like a precision cut, and she really delivered. She pays attention to detail, taught me some new things (and I thought I knew everything about styling my crazy hair) and I left looking so great and feeling fresh. I even got a compliment on my hair from the teenager in my life! I’ll definitely be back.

I am on vacation and decided to try to get my hair done two days before leaving because I've never really had good experiences at our small salons back home. Soo glad I did it here!! Nyah was amazing and did such a good job! I felt soo good about myself as I was leaving 🥰 Not only was she good with my hair, we also had such good conversations and I don't think I've ever had my hair washed that good before, I almost fell asleep it was soo relaxing! Also the salon itself is soo beautiful and I love the vibe! I wish I lived closer so I could come here whenever I need my hair done. I will definitely be back next year to see Nyah.
