Back in the day when a woman named Cythia worked at Martha's, it was a place of high value. My last experience was horrible. I asked for a natural shape up. I came washed. The woman I was told to go to name is Teresa. She has very short hair and very petite. She cut my hair, had her daughter rewash my hair, threw me under the dryer, and just began to cut more off claiming it was very damaged. The back was cut super short & the top left long & sides left long. I'm not sure what shape she was going for, but I did show her pictures. She said I should've went to a barbershop for what I asked for, but chose to cut my hair anyways after stating that her wrist were too bad to do a rod set or braids. She charge me $150 to wash, & cut my hair so uneven. $150?! I will not being going back to Martha's ever again. Martha is always booked cause I would've chosen her to do my hair. I'm now looking for a real barber/salon to fix all that Teresa messed up. I do not recommend going here for natural cuts or barbering EVER. This occurred 5/30/2025 I really wanted to get my $150 back, but I don't have energy to be fighting folks with my 2 year old with me.

Martha did my hair she charge me $100 I told her it's my birthday I left out of her shop crying she even asked me for a tip now today is my birthday and I had to cancel everything all the money I spent to enjoy my day with my grandkids and family there was no way I can show up at my birthday party like this thanks a lot Martha I left out of the shop I was crying and she still asked me for a tip

Martha did my hair, and she delivered exactly what I asked for. As someone with 3c/4a hair, it's hard finding a stylist who is fluent with my texture. I had previously gotten some honey blonde highlights that just didn't compliment me, and Martha colored my hair jet black. I left with my hair shiny, healthy-looking, and beautifully trimmed. Martha even schooled me on the products she used, and I purchased the entire line from Amazon to maintain my hair. I would've purchased them from her directly, but I was visiting from out of town. Martha was fast, thorough, and very professional. It was worth every penny spent. The picture in pink is from my hair the evening of. ****Update: I've been using the Affirm care line for 2 months now, and after each wash, my hair looks like I just left the salon. I wash and style once a week.

This place is an absolute vibe. The staff and owner Ms.Martha are wonderful,caring and attentive people to be around. The price to get my hair done wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Which was nice as ever. I recommend this place to anyone. Patrice did my hair and I loved it.

Martha is a genius!! She’s made every idea I’ve had for my hair come to life. I went from medium brown (previously dyed) to platinum and then got chunky highlights. She did incredible work every time. The best haircuts I’ve ever gotten are from Martha too!! She has more experience and expertise than most salons in the city. And she has better prices than most salons!! It’s hard to find a master stylist like Martha. I will be going to Martha forever

My Lady got scammed by someone from this business posing to work there out of $40 and they tried to get even more money from her after receiving the $40. Stylist claimed she needed the money to get material to do my girl's hair. If you're an official business, shouldn't you have all the material to do the work that is being requested? Especially if the Stylist is supposed to be experienced in her practice, not to mention the hairstyle my Lady requested. Please, beware of this business. Call the business first before doing anything

Elisa was my hairstylist, and she was wonderful. She explained everything in detail that she was doing to my hair. Will return very happy customer.
