Drybar - Milwaukee

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants sharing so others can make an informed decision. I booked a Drybar appointment requesting the "Mai Tai" style (loose curls with straight ends) and added a scalp massage to the service. Unfortunately, the scalp massage was never performed. The final hairstyle also did not resemble the requested look. I have included photos for reference. I clearly communicated my dissatisfaction to the stylist during the appointment. She attempted to re-curl my hair, but the result did not improve. At that point, she set the curling iron down and walked away, leaving me seated in the chair without any explanation or next steps. I later contacted management to discuss the experience. I was informed that a refund was not an option. Instead, I was offered either a complimentary "dry style" if I returned within 24 hours or a 20% discount on a future service within 60 days. Because neither option addressed the service I had already paid for, and both were time-restricted, I declined. The issue here is not simply an unsatisfactory hairstyle. It was the combination of an incomplete service, an unresolved in-salon experience, and a lack of meaningful resolution afterward. The overall experience fell well below expectations at every stage. Given the cost and brand reputation, this was extremely disappointing.

My go-to place. The stylists always take care of me & are all great. Hence the reason I continue my barfly membership. Well worth it! And if I don’t use mine for the month.. they roll over, a lot more times then not I bring a friend or family member to give a special treatment. Shoutout Milwaukee Drybar stylists.

I love coming to Drybar! Any blowout I get turns out amazing, Tee, Grace and Charles are truly phenomenal. My hair lasts about 4–5 days and is so easy to touch up in the mornings. Highly recommend the Barfly package, you won’t regret it!

Had my first blow out with Dry Bar! I was so nervous because I have 4b/4c hair but after seeing someone girls with my hair type on tik tok I thought I would give it a try because I wanted a quick style before I get braids in a few weeks and I’m so happy I gave dry bar a chance! The lady in there took her time to detangle every kink and give me a beautiful look! I could wait to run home and show my husband !! Thank you to Dry bar in Milwaukee! I will definitely be back!!

I had an appointment this morning as a first time client booked at 9:15. I arrived early expecting I would be taken back within the time quoted only to not be taken back until 9:40 and this is only after I had to go check in with the front desk staff who seemed somewhat clueless and offered a discount on services. The stylist who eventually took me back was very sweet but you could tell she was absolutely rushing and only half completed my style (I had patches of wet hair). For $80 and 1 hour later my hair is flat I would consider going elsewhere that not only respects your time but does good work. And, when checking out I never received the promised discount. For a wedding I was attending with a time crunch I wish I had gone elsewhere.

You really can’t go wrong with anyone at the Third Ward location, but Charlie is the absolute best! Everyone is incredibly nice, very thoughtful, and is always open to me going "off menu" (I love a round brush blow out with pin curls). I’ve brought my five year old daughter twice and they do such an excellent job with the Shirley Temple! She always leaves feeling like a little queen. While Drybar is perfect for an event, I also love a blowout the day before I travel for work. I go into my work meetings feeling fantastic and with one less thing to worry about (especially if you have an early AM flight).

Awful! From the second we walked in everything felt rushed. We paid for an add on that was to come with a scalp massage that neither of us received. My hair wasn’t even fully dry when she started curling. The style I chose supposed to be waves (mai tai) but I was given very large bouncy curls. My friend received the waves as asked but so much product was used in her hair it looked and felt wet and greasy. After vocalizing our displeasure we were offered cards to use on a future appointment… no thanks, will never be back. What was supposed to be an enjoyable start to our night ended in disappointment and having to shower and start all over on our own. The worst!
